ส.อ.ท. ร่วมงานสัมมนาทางธุรกิจ ไทย-สปป.ลาว หัวข้อ “เบิ่งโอกาส สานประโยชน์ ก้าวสู่ความรุ่งโรจน์ร่วมกัน”FTI Participates in Thailand-Laos Business Seminar on “Exploring Opportunities for Mutual Prosperity”

On Thursday, February 20, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranutkul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), on behalf of the Chairman of the Joint Private Sector Committee of Three Institutions (JPC), delivered a speech at the Business Forum titled “Exploring Opportunities for Mutual Prosperity.” The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the official visit to Thailand by Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and his spouse as government guests, aimed at promoting and creating a collaborative business network. The event was attended by over 200 participants from both government and private sectors of Thailand and Laos, held at the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel ballroom.

This event was honored by the presence of Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Mr. Suriyah Juengrungruangkit, Minister of Public Health, Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, President of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Uded Suwannavong, and Dr. Rak Varakijpokatorn, Managing Director of Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM BANK), who also delivered speeches.

Following that, the ceremony proceeded to a panel discussion to promote collaboration between the public and private sectors of Thailand and Laos on two topics: 1) A discussion on promoting Thailand-Laos connectivity, featuring panelists including Dr. Rak Varakijpokatorn, Managing Director of EXIM Bank, Mr. Thanawat Jitbanthangpan, ASEAN and Logistics Committee Member of FTI, Mr. Daojinda Sihalat, General Director of the Lao National Railway State Enterprise, and Dr. Anongdet Pedkhaison, Deputy Director of Laos-China Railway Co., Ltd. 2) A discussion on promoting tourism and investment between Thailand and Laos, including panelists such as Mr. Nithi Siaphae, Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications of Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Mr. Thanet Worasan, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce of Thailand and Chairman of the High-Quality Tourism Committee, Dr. Wanthana Nolinthana, Head of the Investment Promotion Group of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Mrs. Phonmalai Inthaphom, Director General of Tourism Development Department of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos, and Mr. Inti Deunsawan, Executive Board Member of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Founder and Chairman of the Intila Group.
