เมื่อวันที่ 10 มีนาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วย ภก.ดร. นิลสุวรรณ ลีลารัศมี รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการกำกับการดำเนินงานในการเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนาของประเทศไทย (OECD) โดยมีนางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรี เป็นประธาน ณ ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การประชุมดังกล่าว เป็นการประชุมครั้งแรกเพื่อหาแนวทางในการที่จะเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD โดย ส.อ.ท. เห็นว่าการเข้าร่วม OECD ของประเทศไทย จะเป็นโอกาสให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยได้เรียนรู้มาตรฐานการดำเนินธุรกิจจากสมาชิก OECD รวมไปถึงการพัฒนาด้านกฏระเบียบของประเทศไทยให้ได้มาตรฐานสากล
On March 10, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Dr. Nilsuwan Leelarasmee, Vice President of FTI, attended the committee meeting overseeing the process of Thailand's participation as a member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), chaired by Ms. Phaethongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister, at Government House.
This meeting marked the first discussion to explore the roadmap for Thailand's membership in the OECD. FTI believes that Thailand's accession to the OECD will provide an opportunity for the Thai industrial sector to learn business operation standards from OECD members, as well as to enhance Thailand's regulatory framework to meet international standards.
