เมื่อวันที่ 25 เมษายน 2568 สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี เสด็จพระราชดำเนิน ไปทรงเปิดหน่วยผลิตน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานยั่งยืน (SAF) ของกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก โดยมีนายเร็มโก โยฮันเนิส ฟัน ไวน์คาร์เดิน (H.E. Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden) เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์ประจำประเทศไทย นายโอตากะ มาซาโตะ (H.E. Mr. Otaka Masato) เอกอัครราชทูตญี่ปุ่นประจำประเทศไทย พลตำรวจเอก สุวัฒน์ แจ้งยอดสุข ประธานกรรมการ สำนักงานพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีอวกาศและภูมิสารสนเทศ (สทอภ.) นายชัยวัฒน์ โควาวิสารัช ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารกลุ่มบริษัทบางจากและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท บางจาก คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร และพนักงานกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก พันธมิตรธุรกิจ โดยทางกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก ได้เชิญนายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล

ในการนี้ สมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ ทรงเปิดแพรคลุมป้ายหน่วยผลิตน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานยั่งยืน (SAF) เสด็จฯ ทอดพระเนตรนิทรรศการ “จากผู้นำพลังงานทดแทน สู่ผู้นำพลังงานแห่งอนาคต” บริเวณโถงหน้าห้องพิธี ทรงฉายพระฉายาลักษณ์ร่วมกับคณะกรรมการ คณะผู้บริหารกลุ่มบริษัท บางจาก และแขกผู้มีเกียรติ รวมทั้ง ทรงลงพระนามาภิไธยในสมุดที่ระลึก และทรงปลูกต้นอินทนิลน้ำ
หน่วยผลิตน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงอากาศยานยั่งยืน (SAF) ของกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก บริหารโดยบริษัท บีเอสจีเอฟ จำกัด บริษัทในกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก เป็นหน่วยผลิต SAF บริสุทธิ์ หรือ Neat SAF 100% จากน้ำมันใช้แล้วจากการปรุงอาหารและวัตถุดิบทางเลือกอื่น ๆ แห่งแรกของประเทศไทย ภายใต้ระบบที่ได้รับการรับรองในระดับสากล มีกำหนดเริ่มดำเนินการผลิตในไตรมาสที่ 2 ของปี 2568 ด้วยกำลังการผลิตเริ่มต้น 1 ล้านลิตรต่อวัน นับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของกลุ่มบริษัทบางจาก ในการดำเนินธุรกิจพลังงานยั่งยืน น้อมนำแนวพระราชดำริด้านการพัฒนาพลังงานทดแทนและการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างรู้คุณค่าของพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร มาสู่การพัฒนา Neat SAF ที่มีศักยภาพในการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกได้มากกว่าร้อยละ 80 เมื่อเทียบกับเชื้อเพลิงดั้งเดิม ซึ่งจะเป็นการสนับสนุนการลดผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศของอุตสาหกรรมการบิน และส่งเสริมการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ BCG ต่อไป
On April 25, 2025, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited to inaugurate the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production unit of Bangchak Corporation Group, attended by H.E. Mr. Remco Johannes van Wijngaarden, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Otaka Masato, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand, Police General Suwat Jangyodsuk, Chairman of the Space Technology and Geoinformatics Development Agency (GISTDA), Mr. Chaiwat Kovavisaruch, Chief Executive Officer of Bangchak Corporation Group and Managing Director of Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, along with executives and employees of Bangchak Corporation Group, as well as business partners. The Bangchak Group also invited Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), to pay homage and receive the royal visit at Bangchak Oil Refinery, Phra Khanong, Sukhumvit 64.
On this occasion, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn unveiled a plaque for the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production unit and observed the exhibition titled “From Renewable Energy Leader to Future Energy Leader” in the ceremony hall. She also posed for a photograph with the committee and executives of Bangchak Group and honored guests, signed the commemorative book, and planted a Rain Tree sapling.
The Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production unit of Bangchak Corporation Group, managed by BSGAF Company, a subsidiary of Bangchak Group, is the first facility in Thailand to produce 100% pure Neat SAF from used cooking oil and other alternative feedstocks under an internationally certified system. Production is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with an initial production capacity of 1 million liters per day. This marks another significant step for Bangchak Group in pursuing sustainable energy business, aligning with the royal initiative on renewable energy development and value-adding resource utilization of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, aimed at developing Neat SAF that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by more than 80% compared to conventional fuels, supporting the reduction of the aviation industry's impact on climate change and further promoting BCG economic development.
