วันที่ 9 มิถุนายน 2568 นายนาวา จันทนสุรคน รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทนเข้าร่วมการเสวนาในหัวข้อ “เศรษฐกิจในยุค Trump 2.0: ความท้าทายและโอกาส” ร่วมกับ ดร. ศุภวุฒิ สายเชื้อ ประธานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ และ ดร.พจน์ อร่ามวัฒนานนท์ ประธานหอการค้าและสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย ซึ่งการเสวนาครั้งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการประชุมเอกอัครราชทูตและกงสุลใหญ่ทั่วโลก ประจำปี 2568 โดยมีผู้บริหารกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ เอกอัครราชทูต และกงสุลใหญ่จากทั่วโลกเข้าร่วม ณ โรงแรมดิ แอทธินี (The Athenee)
การเสวนา มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนวิสัยทัศน์และแนวทางการรับมือกับผลกระทบจากมาตรการภาษีของสหรัฐฯ ในกรณีที่อดีตประธานาธิบดีโดนัลด์ ทรัมป์ได้รับเลือกตั้งเป็นสมัยที่สอง โดยนายนาวา ได้เสนอแนวทางการรับมือ อาทิ การแก้ปัญหาสินค้าสวมสิทธิ์ การส่งเสริมสินค้าที่ผลิตในประเทศไทย (Made in Thailand) และการเร่งปรับปรุงสภาพแวดล้อมทางธุรกิจ (Ease of Doing Business) เพื่อเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้แก่ภาคการส่งออกและการลงทุนของไทย
นอกจากนี้ ส.อ.ท. ยังได้ขอความร่วมมือจากสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ในการหาตลาดส่งออกสำหรับสินค้าไทยที่มีศักยภาพ ตลอดจนสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีระหว่างไทยกับนานาประเทศ
On June 9, 2025, Mr. Nava Chanthanasurakorn, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented the organization at a forum titled “Economy in the Era of Trump 2.0: Challenges and Opportunities,” alongside Dr. Supavuth Saicheua, Chairman of the National Economic and Social Development Council, and Dr. Phach Arachnwatananont, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and the Thai Chamber of Commerce. This forum was part of the annual conference of ambassadors and consuls-general worldwide for 2025, attended by executives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ambassadors, and consuls-general from around the globe at The Athenee Hotel.
The objective of the forum was to exchange visions and strategies for addressing the impacts of U.S. tariff measures in the event that former President Donald Trump is re-elected for a second term. Mr. Nava proposed several strategies for coping, including addressing issues related to products with counterfeit rights, promoting products made in Thailand, and expediting improvements to the business environment to strengthen Thailand's export and investment sectors.
Additionally, FTI has requested cooperation from embassies and consulates general in seeking export markets for Thai products with potential, as well as supporting the exchange of knowledge and technology between Thailand and various countries.
