เมื่อวันพุธที่ 2 กรกฎาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ร่วมเป็นวิทยากรเสวนา หัวข้อ Change Maker : ผู้นำอุตสาหกรรมไทยกับบทบาทในโลกเปลี่ยนผ่าน ภายใต้งาน Thailand Industrial Conference 2025 จัดโดยอุตสาหกรรมพัฒนามูลนิธิ และ 8 สถาบันเครือข่าย ณ Hall 5 ศูนย์การประชุมแห่งชาติสิริกิติ์
ภายในงาน มีผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิร่วมงาน ได้แก่ นายเอกนัฏ พร้อมพันธุ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม ดร.ณัฐพล รังสิตพล ปลัดกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม ดร.พจน์ อร่ามวัฒนานนท์ ประธานสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย และ ดร.กิริฎา เภาพิจิตร ผู้อำนวยการโครงการวิเคราะห์เศรษฐกิจเชิงลึก สถาบันวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศไทย (ทีดีอาร์ไอ)
นายเกรียงไกร กล่าวถึงความท้าทายและโอกาสของภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในยุคเปลี่ยนผ่าน ซึ่งปัจจุบันเศรษฐกิจโลกต้องเผชิญกับความไม่แน่นอนหลายประการ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการที่สหรัฐอเมริกา ประกาศใช้มาตรการทางภาษีตอบโต้ (reciprocal tariffs) กับหลายประเทศทั่วโลก ผลกระทบจากภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ (Geopolitics) ระหว่างประเทศ ความผันผวนของห่วงโซ่อุปทานโลก ต้นทุนทางธุรกิจที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงปัจจัยที่กระทบต่อขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของไทย ทั้งหนี้ภาคครัวเรือน เศรษฐกิจที่ชะลอตัว อีกทั้งต้องแข่งขันกับสินค้านำเข้าจากต่างประเทศที่มีต้นทุนต่ำและใช้เทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัยกว่า ซึ่งปัจจัยเหล่านี้ส่งผลให้ผู้ประกอบการไทยยิ่งต้องเร่งพัฒนา ทั้งในด้านการผลิต การพัฒนาศักยภาพแรงงาน และการนำเทคโลยีที่ทันสมัยเข้ามาช่วย เพื่อให้ธุรกิจสามารถดำเนินไปอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. เห็นว่าการขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยมุ่งสู่อุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต เป็นเรื่องสำคัญที่มีความเร่งด่วนเป็นอย่างยิ่ง จึงมีการผลักดันอุตสาหกรรมเดิม (First Industries) ให้มุ่งไปสู่อุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต หรือที่เรียกว่า Next-GEN Industries ซึ่งเป็น New S-Curve เพื่อยกระดับ SMEs ไทย สู่ความเข้มแข็ง ด้วยนโยบาย "4 GO" (Go Digital & AI, Go Innovation, Go Global, Go Green) นอกจากนี้ ส.อ.ท. ยังมีกลไกความร่วมมือกับกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม ผ่านคณะทำงานต่างๆ เพื่อส่งเสริมผู้ประกอบการไทยในการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถทางการแข่งขัน และสนับสนุนการดำเนินธุรกิจให้เกิดความยั่งยืนต่อไป
On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated as a speaker in a discussion titled 'Change Maker: Thai Industry Leaders and Their Roles in a Transitioning World' during the Thailand Industrial Conference 2025 organized by the Industry Development Foundation and 8 affiliated institutes at Hall 5, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Among the distinguished guests at the event were Mr. Eknat Prompan, Minister of Industry, Dr. Natthaphol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Dr. Potj Aramwatananont, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and Dr. Kirida Pheawphichit, Director of the Deep Economic Analysis Project at the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI).
Mr. Kriangkrai discussed the challenges and opportunities facing the Thai industrial sector during this transitional period. He noted that the global economy is currently facing various uncertainties, including the United States' implementation of reciprocal tariffs against several countries worldwide, geopolitical impacts, supply chain fluctuations, continuously rising business costs, and factors affecting Thailand's competitiveness such as rising household debt, a slowing economy, and competition with low-cost imported goods using more advanced technologies. These factors necessitate that Thai entrepreneurs accelerate their development efforts in production, workforce capability, and the adoption of modern technologies to ensure business efficiency.
The FTI believes that driving Thai industries towards future industries is critically urgent. Therefore, there has been a push for traditional industries (First Industries) to transition to future industries, known as Next-GEN Industries or New S-Curve, to strengthen Thai SMEs. This is supported by the '4 GO' policy (Go Digital & AI, Go Innovation, Go Global, Go Green). Moreover, the FTI collaborates with the Ministry of Industry through various working groups to enhance Thai entrepreneurs' competitiveness and support sustainable business operations going forward.
