เมื่อวันที่ 30 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานกิจการต่างประเทศ พร้อมด้วยนายเจน นำชัยศิริ รองประธานสายงานกิจการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองและมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีแก่ H.E. Mr. Abderrahim Rahhaly เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรโมร็อกโกประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันขึ้นครองราชย์ของสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีโมฮัมเหม็ดที่ 6 โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายวิชาวัฒน์ อิศรภักดี ผู้ช่วยรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรมพาร์ค ไฮแอท กรุงเทพฯ
ประเทศไทยและราชอาณาจักรโมร็อกโกได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2528 และตลอดระยะเวลากว่า 40 ปีที่ผ่านมา ทั้งสองประเทศได้พัฒนาความร่วมมืออย่างใกล้ชิดในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน วัฒนธรรม การศึกษา สิ่งแวดล้อม และความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนา โดยมีการแลกเปลี่ยนการเยือนและการหารือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง อันเป็นรากฐานสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์อันดีระหว่างกัน
โดยในปี 2569 ความร่วมมือด้านวัฒนธรรมระหว่างไทยและโมร็อกโกมีพัฒนาการที่โดดเด่น โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรโมร็อกโกประจำประเทศไทยได้จัดงาน “Moroccan Cultural Week” ระหว่างวันที่ 22–28 กรกฎาคม 2569 ที่ผ่านมา เพื่อเผยแพร่และส่งเสริมมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมอันทรงคุณค่าของโมร็อกโกสู่สาธารณชนชาวไทย พร้อมเปิดโอกาสให้เกิดการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างประชาชนของทั้งสองประเทศ
ภายในงานมีการนำเสนอ “Moroccan Caftan” เครื่องแต่งกายประจำชาติของโมร็อกโก ซึ่งได้รับการขึ้นทะเบียนจากองค์การการศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ และวัฒนธรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNESCO) เป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติ (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity) สะท้อนถึงเอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่น ความประณีตของงานหัตถศิลป์ และภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นที่ได้รับการสืบทอดมาอย่างยาวนาน ทั้งยังแสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของอุตสาหกรรมสร้างสรรค์ในการต่อยอดทุนทางวัฒนธรรมสู่การสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มทางเศรษฐกิจ ซึ่งเป็นอีกหนึ่งสาขาที่ไทยและโมร็อกโกมีศักยภาพในการขยายความร่วมมือและสร้างโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจร่วมกันในอนาคต
On July 30, 2026, Mr. Vichawan Rukphongphairoj, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Sector, along with Mr. Jane Namchaichiri, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Sector, attended a reception and presented a floral bouquet to H.E. Mr. Abderrahim Rahhaly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Morocco to Thailand, on the occasion of the accession to the throne of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with the honor of Mr. Vichavath Isarapakdee, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, who also extended congratulations at the Park Hyatt Bangkok Hotel.
The Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Morocco established official diplomatic relations in 1985. Over the past 40 years, both countries have developed close cooperation across various dimensions, including politics, economy, trade, investment, culture, education, environment, and development cooperation, with continuous exchanges of visits and discussions between government and private sectors, forming an essential foundation for strengthening their good relationships.
In 2026, the cultural cooperation between Thailand and Morocco made remarkable progress, as the Moroccan Embassy in Thailand organized the “Moroccan Cultural Week” from July 22-28, 2026, to disseminate and promote Morocco's valuable cultural heritage to the Thai public while opening opportunities for cultural learning exchanges between the peoples of both countries.
The event showcased the “Moroccan Caftan,” the national costume of Morocco, which has been registered by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It reflects the distinctive identity, craftsmanship, and local wisdom that has been passed down for generations. It also demonstrates the potential of the creative industry to leverage cultural capital into economic value, representing another sector where Thailand and Morocco can expand collaboration and create future economic opportunities together.
