เมื่อวันที่ 18 กันยายน 2569 นายสุภกิจ วรรณบูรณ์ ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย–ลาตินอเมริกา และนางสาวอนุษฐา เชาว์วิศิษฐ รองเลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. กรรมการและเลขานุการสายงานเศรษฐกิจและวิชาการ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองและร่วมแสดงความยินดีกับ H.E. Mrs. Ilse Lilián Ferrer Silva เอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐเม็กซิโกประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 216 ปีแห่งการประกาศเอกราชของสหรัฐเม็กซิโก โดยมีนายสีหศักดิ์ พวงเกตุแก้ว รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ให้เกียรติร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรม ดิ แอทธินี โฮเทล แบงค็อก
เม็กซิโกเป็นหนึ่งในประเทศเศรษฐกิจสำคัญของภูมิภาคลาตินอเมริกา มีฐานการผลิตที่หลากหลายและเชื่อมโยงกับห่วงโซ่มูลค่าโลกและตลาดอเมริกาเหนืออย่างใกล้ชิด จึงมีศักยภาพในฐานะตลาดและฐานการผลิตสำหรับการขยายธุรกิจของไทย โดยเฉพาะในภาคอุตสาหกรรม การผลิต เกษตรและอาหาร รวมถึงอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต อันเป็นโอกาสในการต่อยอดความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการเชื่อมโยงห่วงโซ่อุปทานระหว่างสองประเทศ
ไทยและเม็กซิโกสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตในปี 2518 และได้พัฒนาความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องในหลายมิติ โดยเฉพาะด้านการค้าและการลงทุน โดยการครบรอบ 50 ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตในปี 2568 นับเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการส่งเสริมให้ทั้งสองประเทศเดินหน้าขยายความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจ อำนวยความสะดวกทางการค้า และสร้างโอกาสทางธุรกิจระหว่างภาคเอกชนให้มากยิ่งขึ้น
On September 18, 2026, Mr. Supakij Wannaboon, Chairman of the Thai-Latin American Business Council, and Ms. Anusara Chaovisit, Deputy Secretary-General of FTI and Secretary of the Economic and Academic Committee of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), attended the reception and congratulated H.E. Mrs. Ilse Lilián Ferrer Silva, Ambassador of Mexico to Thailand, on the occasion of the 216th anniversary of Mexico's independence, with Mr. Sihasak Phueakdetkaew, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, gracing the event with his presence at The Athenee Hotel Bangkok.
Mexico is one of the key economies in the Latin America region, with a diverse manufacturing base closely linked to global value chains and the North American market. It holds potential as a market and production base for Thai businesses, especially in the industrial, manufacturing, agriculture, and food sectors, as well as in future industries. This presents opportunities to further cooperate in trade, investment, and supply chain connectivity between the two countries.
Thailand and Mexico established diplomatic relations in 1975 and have continuously developed cooperation across various dimensions, particularly in trade and investment. The 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025 will be a significant opportunity to promote both countries' economic cooperation, facilitate trade, and create more business opportunities between the private sectors.
