ส.อ.ท. ร่วมเวที WTO Public Forum 2026 แลกเปลี่ยนทิศทางการค้าโลกและโอกาสของไทย โดยเฉพาะการค้าบริการและ Health Economy พร้อมเชื่อมเครือข่ายภาครัฐ–เอกชน–นานาชาติ ต่อยอดความร่วมมือและโอกาสใหม่ให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย
ระหว่างวันที่ 15–17 กันยายน 2569 ดร.ปิยะนุช มาลากุล ณ อยุธยา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และนางสาวนพวรรณ ฉลองพันธรัตน์ กรรมการสายงานกิจการต่างประเทศ ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมการประชุม WTO Public Forum 2026 ณ สำนักงานใหญ่องค์การการค้าโลก (WTO) กรุงเจนีวา สมาพันธรัฐสวิส ภายใต้หัวข้อ “Powering the Future” โดยปีนี้มีการจัดกิจกรรมรวม 115 Session มีวิทยากรกว่า 540 คน และผู้เข้าร่วมกว่า 4,600 คน จากภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน ภาคประชาสังคม สถาบันการศึกษา และองค์การระหว่างประเทศ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองต่อทิศทางการค้าโลก โดยเฉพาะบทบาทของการค้าบริการ (Trade in Services) ซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่ม การจ้างงาน และการเชื่อมโยงเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ
ในปีนี้ ประเทศไทยมีส่วนร่วมในการจัด Session “Wellness Without Borders: Powered by Medical Tourism” เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพ การค้าและบริการสุขภาพข้ามพรมแดน และแนวทางการขยายตลาดบริการสุขภาพ โดยได้รับเกียรติจากนายแพทย์สุภโชค เวชภัณฑ์เภสัช หัวหน้าผู้ตรวจราชการกระทรวงสาธารณสุข เป็นวิทยากร ซึ่งได้นำเสนอแนวคิดว่า Medical Tourism ไม่ได้จำกัดเพียงการเดินทางเพื่อเข้ารับการรักษาพยาบาล แต่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ “Health Economy” ที่เชื่อมโยงบริการสุขภาพ การท่องเที่ยว Wellness การลงทุน เทคโนโลยี และกิจกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจเข้าด้วยกัน
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพจากระบบบริการสุขภาพที่ได้มาตรฐาน บุคลากรทางการแพทย์ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญ ประสบการณ์ในการดูแลผู้ป่วยต่างชาติ รวมถึงจุดแข็งด้าน Wellness และการแพทย์แผนไทย โดยกระทรวงสาธารณสุขมีแนวทางยกระดับ Medical Tourism สู่ “Medical Investment Hub” ผ่าน 3 เสาหลัก ได้แก่ Service Hub, R&D Hub และ Product & Health Manufacturing Hub เพื่อสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มทางเศรษฐกิจจากศักยภาพด้านสุขภาพของประเทศ และส่งเสริมให้เกิดประโยชน์กลับคืนสู่ระบบสุขภาพไทยอย่างยั่งยืน
ในโอกาสเดียวกัน ส.อ.ท. ได้เข้าพบนางพิมพ์ชนก พิตต์ฟีลด์ เอกอัครราชทูตไทยประจำองค์การการค้าโลกและองค์การทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาโลก พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้แทนไทย เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์และพัฒนาการด้านการค้าโลก รวมถึงหารือแนวทางและโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในอนาคต
การเข้าร่วมเวที WTO Public Forum 2026 เปิดโอกาสให้ ส.อ.ท. แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและมุมมองกับผู้แทนจากภาครัฐ องค์การระหว่างประเทศ ภาคเอกชน และองค์กรธุรกิจจากนานาประเทศ ตลอดจนติดตามพัฒนาการด้านการค้าและนโยบายระหว่างประเทศ และแสวงหาโอกาสความร่วมมือที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย
FTI participated in the WTO Public Forum 2026 to exchange views on global trade directions and opportunities for Thailand, particularly in service trade and Health Economy, while connecting public-private-international networks to advance cooperation and new opportunities for the Thai industrial sector.
From September 15-17, 2026, Dr. Piyanuj Malakul Na Ayudhya, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and Ms. Noppawan Chalorphantharat, Director of International Affairs at FTI, attended the WTO Public Forum 2026 at the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva, Swiss Confederation, under the theme “Powering the Future.” This year, the event organized a total of 115 sessions, featuring over 540 speakers and more than 4,600 participants from government, private sectors, civil society, academic institutions, and international organizations to exchange perspectives on global trade directions, particularly the role of trade in services, which is crucial for creating added value, employment, and international economic connections.
This year, Thailand participated in the session titled “Wellness Without Borders: Powered by Medical Tourism” to exchange ideas regarding health tourism, cross-border health trade and services, and ways to expand the health service market, with the honor of having Dr. Supachok Wetchaphan, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Public Health, as the speaker. He presented the concept that medical tourism is not limited to traveling for treatment but is part of the “Health Economy,” linking health services, wellness tourism, investments, technology, and economic activities together.
Thailand's potential arises from its standardized healthcare system, skilled medical professionals, and experience in caring for international patients, as well as its strengths in wellness and traditional Thai medicine. The Ministry of Public Health aims to elevate Medical Tourism to a “Medical Investment Hub” through three pillars: Service Hub, R&D Hub, and Product & Health Manufacturing Hub, to create economic value from the country's health potential and promote sustainable benefits back to the Thai healthcare system.
On the same occasion, FTI met with Ms. Pimchanok Pitfield, Thai Ambassador to the WTO and World Intellectual Property Organization, along with the Thai delegation to exchange information on the global trade situation and developments, as well as discuss ways to promote future cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Participating in the WTO Public Forum 2026 provided FTI the opportunity to exchange information and perspectives with representatives from government, international organizations, private sectors, and businesses from various countries, while keeping track of developments in trade and international policies, seeking opportunities for beneficial cooperation for the Thai industrial sector.
