ส.อ.ท. สานพลังขับเคลื่อนงานมาตรฐานและมาตรการทางการค้า ควบคู่การยกระดับ Made in Thailand (MiT) สู่สากลFTI Collaborates to Drive Standards and Trade Measures Alongside Elevating Made in Thailand (MiT) to Global Standards

On July 14, 2026, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) held the first meeting of the Industrial Standards and Competitiveness Committee (ISC) to define a proactive operational framework to drive the Thai industry under the policy "The New Chapter of Thai Industry." Madame Pimjai Leeissaranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated as the chairperson of the ISC advisory committee to convey important operational guidelines, along with Madame Kanit Mueangkrajang, Chairwoman of the ISC, who presided over the meeting to communicate the FTI's policies for 2026-2028, aiming to drive the "5I" strategy. On this occasion, Mr. Patthrapol Limphakdee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Industrial Product Standards Office (TPSO), presented a congratulatory basket to the FTI President at Meeting Room 802, FTI.

Key highlights from the meeting include three main plans (700-Day Roadmap) as follows:

1. Elevating Made in Thailand (MiT)
The goal is to increase the procurement value of MiT products for government purchases to at least 40% by 2027, equating to approximately 200 billion Baht. Additionally, preparations are underway to drive the "MiT Plus" project to expand benefits to the private sector and integrate data with the Treasury Department via an API system to enhance transparency and facilitate inspections through QR Codes.

2. Upgrading Industrial Product Standards
Accelerating collaboration with the Industrial Product Standards Office (TPSO) to develop the "TISI Shield" platform for monitoring and alerting non-compliant products, as well as supporting industry groups to leverage the SDOs (Standards Developing Organizations) mechanism to enhance Thai standards to international levels.

3. Enhancing Trade Measures
Developing an AI Early Warning System to monitor dumping and irregular imports in real-time, while advocating for expedited improvements to laws related to anti-dumping measures (AD) and the prevention of circumvention of anti-dumping measures (AC) to ensure greater speed and efficiency.

The Industrial Standards and Competitiveness Committee (ISC) is committed to being a key mechanism in managing and driving the Made in Thailand (MiT) initiative, industrial standards, and trade measures to enhance competitiveness, protect Thai industries, and promote the sustainable and robust growth of Thai industries on the global stage.
