On Friday, September 5, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), presided over the opening ceremony of the 18th National Printing Contest (Thai Print Awards 2025). Mr. Prasith Klongngulerm, Vice Chairman of the Printing and Packaging Group and Chairman of the 18th National Printing Contest Organizing Committee, welcomed the attendees. Distinguished guests included Mr. Vichai Sakkolvararungreung, Executive Board Member of FTI and Honorary Chairman of the Printing and Packaging Group, Mr. Phongthira Pattanapeeradej, Honorary Advisor and Board Member of the Printing and Packaging Group and President of the Thai Printing Association, and Mr. Teera Kittitheeraphonchai, Chairman of the Printing and Packaging Group, at the Crystal Box, 19th floor, Gaysorn Tower.
Mr. Kriangkrai stated that in the present era, the printing industry is facing a significant transformation, both in terms of technology such as 3D Printing, Smart Printing, and Print on demand, driven by rapidly changing consumer behaviors, the continuous growth of the digital economy, and heightened environmental awareness. All of these aspects present both challenges and opportunities. Furthermore, the expansion of E-Commerce serves as a crucial impetus for the printing industry to adapt significantly in terms of strength, ease of transportation, and the ability to attract consumers at first glance.
As a representative of the industrial sector, FTI recognizes the importance of promoting awareness among printing operators to continuously develop their products and services. Therefore, FTI has outlined a significant strategy through the “4 GO” policy: GO Digital & AI, GO Innovation, GO Global, and GO Green. This will serve as a tool to assist industrial operators in preparing to compete on the global stage by enhancing production standards and designing products that meet the changing consumer demands in both present and future lifestyles, thereby increasing competitiveness and ensuring long-term sustainability for Thai operators.
This year's contest is organized under the theme “AI Innovation, Redefining Creativity, Elevating Print Excellence” — Artificial Intelligence innovation redefines creativity and elevates print perfection, reflecting the significant transformation of the printing and packaging industry which will continue to adapt and move forward relentlessly.
As the printing and packaging industry serves as a supporting industry for all sectors, AI is not a technology that disrupts the industry but rather a tool that facilitates the creative processes of Thai printing and packaging towards the future, enhancing product value. Businesses in the modern era will succeed with Digital & AI integrated with innovation, creating limitless growth.
