เมื่อวันที่ 8 ธันวาคม 2568 นายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) ได้เข้าร่วมหารือกับ Mr. František Ruzicka (ฟรานติเซ็ก รูซิกา) รองเลขาธิการองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือและการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ (OECD) และผู้แทนระดับสูงของ OECD ณ ห้อง Valley โรงแรมแชงกรี-ลา กรุงเทพฯ
การหารือครั้งนี้ เป็นเวทีแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับทิศทางนโยบายเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศและประเด็นความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับ OECD ซึ่งครอบคลุมเรื่องการปรับตัวของภาคธุรกิจต่อบริบทโลกที่เปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว การยกระดับกฎระเบียบและมาตรฐานทางเศรษฐกิจ รวมถึงบทบาทของภาคเอกชนในยุทธศาสตร์การพัฒนาประเทศ
การพบปะหารือดังกล่าวจึงเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเชิงนโยบาย ตลอดจนหารือแนวทางเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและ OECD ในประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับภาคอุตสาหกรรมและภาคธุรกิจของประเทศ
ภายในเวทีหารือ ส.อ.ท. ได้เน้นย้ำบทบาทเชิงรุกของภาคเอกชนไทยในการติดตามประเด็นระหว่างประเทศที่อาจส่งผลกระทบต่อการค้า การลงทุน และความสามารถในการแข่งขัน พร้อมแสดงความมุ่งมั่นในการสนับสนุนการปรับตัวของประเทศให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานของ OECD เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับนักลงทุน และยกระดับศักยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจของไทยในระยะยาว
นอกจากนี้ ในวันเดียวกัน ยังมีการเปิดตัวรายงาน Thailand’s Economic Survey 2025 ซึ่งจัดทำโดยความร่วมมือระหว่างสำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ (สศช.) และ OECD โดยรายงานฉบับนี้นำเสนอภาพรวมเศรษฐกิจไทยในปัจจุบัน พร้อมข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบายเพื่อเสริมสร้างศักยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ อันจะช่วยสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานของไทยในกระบวนการสมัครเข้าเป็นประเทศสมาชิก OECD ให้มีประสิทธิผลยิ่งขึ้น
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยอยู่ระหว่างขั้นตอนการสมัครเข้าเป็นประเทศสมาชิก OECD ซึ่งครอบคลุมกระบวนการเตรียมความพร้อมด้านกฎหมาย นโยบาย และมาตรฐานที่เกี่ยวข้องให้สอดคล้องกับข้อกำหนดของ OECD โดยหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้องได้ร่วมประสานงานอย่างใกล้ชิด เพื่อขับเคลื่อนกระบวนการดังกล่าวให้เป็นไปอย่างเป็นระบบและมีประสิทธิภาพ อันจะช่วยเสริมสร้างศักยภาพทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ และสนับสนุนการเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิก OECD ของไทยให้มีความคืบหน้าและผลสัมฤทธิ์อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
On December 8, 2025, Mr. Chatchai Panichsriwa, Vice-President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and Mr. Nawa Janthanasurakhan, Vice-President of FTI, along with representatives from the Joint Private Sector Committee of three organizations, participated in discussions with Mr. František Ruzicka, Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and senior representatives of the OECD at the Valley Room, Shangri-La Hotel Bangkok.
This meeting served as a platform for exchanging views on international economic policy directions and cooperation issues between Thailand and OECD, covering the adaptation of the business sector to rapidly changing global contexts, the enhancement of economic regulations and standards, as well as the role of the private sector in the national development strategy.
The discussions provided a significant opportunity for exchanging policy information and exploring ways to strengthen cooperation between Thailand and OECD on matters pertaining to the country's industrial and business sectors.
During the discussions, the FTI emphasized the proactive role of the Thai private sector in monitoring international issues that may impact trade, investment, and competitiveness, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the country's adaptation to OECD standards to enhance investor confidence and elevate Thailand's long-term economic potential.
Additionally, on the same day, the report titled Thailand’s Economic Survey 2025 was launched, prepared in collaboration with the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and OECD. This report presents an overview of the current Thai economy, along with policy recommendations to strengthen the country’s economic potential, which will aid Thailand's efforts in the application process for OECD membership, making it more effective.
Thailand is currently in the process of applying for OECD membership, which encompasses the preparation of legal, policy, and standard alignments in accordance with OECD requirements. Relevant public and private agencies are working closely together to drive this process systematically and effectively, thereby enhancing the country’s economic potential and supporting Thailand's progression towards OECD membership with tangible results.
