Go Digital and AI, Go Innovation, Go Global และ Go Green เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเข้มแข็งให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย พร้อมรับมือกับความท้าทายของเศรษฐกิจโลก และขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
On January 12, 2026, Mr. Wiwat Hemmatanarun, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in a special lecture on the topic "Foreign Direct Investment in Thailand & Key Industries" for students in the WorldNexGen program organized by the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy at Thammasat University, in collaboration with KH Academy and Seoul National University (SNU), at Thammasat University, Tha Pra Chan.
The project is a short-term exchange program aimed at enhancing academic knowledge in economics, industry, trade, and investment, as well as society and culture in the ASEAN region, to cultivate new leaders with potential and readiness for the global stage.
On this occasion, Mr. Wiwat discussed the global economic outlook for 2025, which is projected to grow by 3.2%, but is expected to slow down in 2026, reflecting that the global economy continues to grow amid uncertainties in trade policies and geopolitical situations, which necessitates the Thai industrial sector to rapidly adjust in order to maintain its competitiveness.
FTI places great importance on supporting Thai entrepreneurs in enhancing production, investment, and export capabilities through the promotion of target industries, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), as well as developing industries towards a digital economy, innovation, and sustainability.
Moreover, FTI is implementing policies under the 4GO framework, including Go Digital and AI, Go Innovation, Go Global, and Go Green, to strengthen the Thai industrial sector in preparation for the challenges of the global economy and drive sustainable growth in the long term.
