เมื่อวันที่ 22 มกราคม 2569 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมการเสวนาในหัวข้อ “Macroeconomic Update: New Year, New Political Landscape and Thai Economy under the New Government” โดยมี ดร.สมเกียรติ ตั้งกิจวานิช ประธานสถาบันวิจัยเพื่อการพัฒนาประเทศไทย (TDRI) เป็นผู้ดำเนินการเสวนา พร้อมด้วยผู้ร่วมเสวนา ได้แก่ นายบุรินทร์ อดุลวัฒนะ กรรมการผู้จัดการ และ Chief Economist ศูนย์วิจัยกสิกรไทย และ นายสรกล อดุลยานนท์ นักวิจารณ์การเมืองและคอลัมนิสต์ ณ ห้องลอนดอน โรงแรมคอนราด ถนนวิทยุ
นายเกรียงไกรกล่าวว่า ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยในปี 2569 เผชิญความท้าทายรอบด้าน ทั้งจากความผันผวนของเศรษฐกิจโลก ความไม่แน่นอนด้านภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ และมาตรการกีดกันทางการค้าที่มิใช่ภาษี ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบโดยตรงต่อภาคการส่งออกและต้นทุนการผลิต สะท้อนผ่านดัชนีความเชื่อมั่นภาคอุตสาหกรรมที่ยังเคลื่อนไหวต่ำกว่า 100 อย่างต่อเนื่อง บ่งชี้ว่าผู้ประกอบการยังคงมีความระมัดระวังต่อการลงทุนและการขยายกำลังการผลิต
ขณะเดียวกัน รายงาน “แนวโน้มอุตสาหกรรมปี 2569” ของ ส.อ.ท. ประเมินว่า อุตสาหกรรมไทยกำลังเข้าสู่ช่วงคัดกรองความแข็งแกร่ง โดยกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมที่สามารถปรับตัวได้รวดเร็ว มีนวัตกรรม และเชื่อมโยงกับห่วงโซ่มูลค่าโลกได้ จะยังคงมีแนวโน้มเติบโตได้ดี ขณะที่บางกลุ่มยังคงเผชิญแรงกดดันจากต้นทุน การแข่งขันจากต่างประเทศ และกติกาการค้าใหม่
ทั้งนี้ นายเกรียงไกรยังแสดงความคาดหวังว่า ภายใต้รัฐบาลใหม่จะมีนโยบายด้านเศรษฐกิจและอุตสาหกรรมที่มีความต่อเนื่อง ชัดเจน และเอื้อต่อการลงทุนในระยะยาว โดยเฉพาะการลดต้นทุนให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการ การสนับสนุน SMEs และการเร่งพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านพลังงาน โลจิสติกส์ และดิจิทัล เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไทย พร้อมเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของการยกระดับธรรมาภิบาลและการแก้ไขปัญหาคอร์รัปชัน ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยพื้นฐานสำคัญต่อบรรยากาศการลงทุน ความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุน และศักยภาพการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไทยในระยะยาว
On January 22, 2026, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in a discussion on the topic “Macroeconomic Update: New Year, New Political Landscape and Thai Economy under the New Government,” with Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanit, Chairman of the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), serving as the moderator. Other discussants included Mr. Burin Adulwattana, Managing Director and Chief Economist of Kasikorn Research Center, and Mr. Sorakol Adulyanont, a political commentator and columnist, at the London Room, Conrad Hotel, Witthayu Road.
Mr. Kriangkrai stated that the Thai industrial sector in 2026 faces challenges on multiple fronts, including global economic volatility, geopolitical uncertainties, and non-tariff trade barriers, which have a direct impact on exports and production costs. This is reflected in the industrial confidence index, which continues to remain below 100, indicating that entrepreneurs remain cautious regarding investment and capacity expansion.
At the same time, the report “Industry Outlook 2026” by FTI assesses that the Thai industry is entering a phase of screening for resilience. Industries that can adapt quickly, are innovative, and are connected to the global value chain are expected to continue to see good growth, while some sectors still face pressures from costs, competition from abroad, and new trade regulations.
Moreover, Mr. Kriangkrai expressed hope that the new government would have consistent and clear economic and industrial policies that support long-term investment, especially in reducing costs for entrepreneurs, supporting SMEs, and accelerating the development of infrastructure in energy, logistics, and digital sectors to enhance the competitive capabilities of the Thai industry. He also emphasized the importance of improving governance and addressing corruption issues, which are fundamental factors affecting the investment climate, investor confidence, and the long-term competitive potential of the Thai industry.
