ส.อ.ท. ร่วมเวที “Reset Thailand’s Economy” ชูยุทธศาสตร์ “4GO” เร่งปฏิรูปอุตสาหกรรมไทยFTI Participates in the “Reset Thailand’s Economy” Forum, Highlighting the “4GO” Strategy to Accelerate the Reform of the Thai Industry

On Friday, February 20, 2026, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was honored to be a guest speaker at the seminar titled “Resetting Thailand’s Economy: The Last Chance or Just Another Round of the Same Old Cycle?” to reflect on the overall situation of the Thai economy and suggest ways to drive the Thai industrial sector during this era of change at CBS Cinema, 3rd Floor, Chaiyos Sombat Building 1, Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University.

On this occasion, Mr. Kriangkrai compared the situation of the Thai economy to a ship that is sinking and adrift in the ocean amid a Perfect Storm caused by both geopolitical conflicts and technology disruptions. He emphasized that Thailand cannot merely press the “Reset” button but must urgently undertake “Reform” and “Transformation” to restructure the fragile economy that has been trapped in the same cycle for over 10 years, enabling it to grow robustly once again.

Furthermore, Mr. Kriangkrai presented the strategy for driving the Thai industrial sector through the “4GO” policy to enhance the country's competitive capabilities, consisting of
• GO Digital & AI accelerating the adoption of AI and digital technology as the backbone of all production activities to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. The FTI has the AFTI project to support and assist member companies in adapting.
• GO Innovation transitioning from labor-intensive industries to innovation-driven industries, upgrading from OEM to designing and building their own brands (ODM/OBM) through the Innovation One Fund.
• GO Global expanding into new potential markets such as GCC countries, Central Asia, and Africa, while accelerating free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations to connect into the new global supply chain.
• GO Green aiming for the development of green industries to meet new global regulations and CBAM measures by turning challenges into opportunities for generating new income from carbon credits.

Moreover, Mr. Kriangkrai emphasized that another critical mission that must be urgently addressed is the issue of corruption, which he described as a significant “leak” undermining confidence and creating hidden costs for the country. He proposed that the government swiftly build trust through an expert, transparent, and unified economic team, as well as improve outdated laws to facilitate ease of doing business and promote Thailand as a neutral investment hub in the region to create a stable and sustainable future for the younger generation.
