เมื่อวันที่ 23 กุมภาพันธ์ 2569 นายอรินทร์ จิรา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ และกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่ยานยนต์ ให้การต้อนรับและร่วมประชุมหารือกับ Mr. Jaber Ali Ibrahim Malik Alshehhi, Head of the Economic Affairs Section สถานทูตสหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลภาพรวมเศรษฐกิจและแนวโน้มโอกาสทางการค้าระหว่างกัน ณ ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งนี้ นโยบายอุตสาหกรรมของสหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์มุ่งเน้นการสร้างความหลากหลายทางเศรษฐกิจ (Diversification) เพื่อลดการพึ่งพารายได้จากน้ำมัน โดยขับเคลื่อนผ่านแผน “We the UAE 2031” และยุทธศาสตร์ “Operation 300 Billion” ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน พลังงานสะอาด และนวัตกรรม เพื่อยกระดับประเทศสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางเศรษฐกิจแห่งอนาคตของโลก
นอกจากนี้ สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ยังมีนโยบายส่งเสริมให้นักลงทุนใช้ประเทศเป็นศูนย์กลาง (Hub) สำหรับการค้าและการลงทุนกับประเทศในกลุ่ม GCC โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมสนับสนุนข้อมูลด้านการจับคู่ธุรกิจ การจัดตั้งกิจการ และมาตรการส่งเสริมการลงทุนในสาขาอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมาย อาทิ ปิโตรเคมี อะลูมิเนียม เหล็กกล้า เคมีภัณฑ์ ปูนซีเมนต์ เครื่องจักร และอาหารแปรรูป เป็นต้น
On February 23, 2026, Mr. Arin Jira, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with representatives from the automotive industry and the automotive parts and components industry, welcomed and held discussions with Mr. Jaber Ali Ibrahim Malik Alshehhi, Head of the Economic Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to exchange information about the overall economic situation and trade opportunity trends between the two parties at FTI.
The industrial policy of the United Arab Emirates focuses on economic diversification to reduce reliance on oil revenues, driven by the “We the UAE 2031” plan and the “Operation 300 Billion” strategy, which emphasizes the development of advanced technology industries, a circular economy, clean energy, and innovation to elevate the nation as a global future economic hub.
Additionally, the United Arab Emirates has policies to encourage investors to use the country as a hub for trade and investment with GCC countries, with the embassy ready to support information on business matchmaking, establishing operations, and investment promotion measures in targeted industrial sectors such as petrochemicals, aluminum, steel, chemicals, cement, machinery, and processed food, among others.
