ส.อ.ท. ภาคอีสาน ประชุมส่งท้ายวาระ ระดมความร่วมมือขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมภูมิภาคFTI Northeastern Region Holds Final Meeting to Drive Regional Industry Cooperation

On Monday, March 9, 2026, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) Northeastern Region convened the first meeting of the FTI Northeastern Industry Committee for the year 2026 (5), marking the final meeting of the committee for the 2024-2026 term. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Somyot Chanjungthavorn, Chairman of the FTI Northeastern Region, at the River City Hotel, Meeting Room Mekong, 2nd Floor.

This occasion was honored by the presence of Mr. Worayan Boonnaratch, Governor of Mukdahan Province, who welcomed the members of the FTI Northeastern Industry Committee, along with Mr. Kriangkrai Thiaranukul, Chairman of the FTI, Mr. Tavee Piyapattana, Senior Vice Chairman of the FTI, Mr. Apichit Pasaprat, and Mr. Hasadin Suwattanapongchet, Deputy Secretary-General of the Federation of Thai Industries, who attended the meeting to provide information regarding the economic situation and its impact on the industrial sector due to the conflict in the Middle East, as well as Thailand’s industrial sector's response strategies. The meeting also included discussions of issues and suggestions from members in the Northeastern region at the River City Hotel, Meeting Room Mekong, 2nd Floor.

During this meeting, key issues and proposals from the committee were presented as follows:

1.Requests for assistance in stabilizing fuel prices due to the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.
2.Follow-up and handover of tasks to the new set of the FTI Northeastern Industry Committee, including urban planning issues, special economic zones along the border, and the Eastern Northeastern Economic Corridor Project, the Mukdahan Aircraft Repair Center Project, CY Project, and Dry Port, as well as the opening of the Thai-Cambodian border checkpoint.
3.Introduction of the Chairperson of the Provincial Industry Council for the term 2026-2028, covering 13 provinces.
4.Invitation for members to register and verify the list of eligible voters for the year 2026, as well as to participate in the annual general meeting for the year 2026 and the election of the Federation of Thai Industries’ committee for the term 2026-2028 on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Ballroom 1-2, 1st Floor.

Additionally, essential services provided by the Federation of Thai Industries to support members of the industrial sector were introduced, which include:

• FTI Solar Rooftop Project to promote solar energy usage in the industrial sector, reduce electricity costs, and support the use of clean energy.
• Provincial E-Catalog 2026 Project, a digital catalog of products and services from local operators to enhance marketing channels and business opportunities both domestically and internationally.
• Services from the Food Institute for FTI members, covering standards and food safety consulting, product analysis and testing, product and packaging development, and training to enhance entrepreneurs' capabilities.
• Services from the Climate Change Institute (CCI), offering consulting on greenhouse gas management and the creation of carbon footprints for organizations and products.

This meeting served as a crucial platform to summarize the performance of the FTI Northeastern Industry Committee during the 2024-2026 term, as well as to pass on responsibilities and strategic directions for driving key industrial issues in the region to the new committee, in order to continue the economic and industrial development of the Northeastern region.
