On Monday, March 30, 2026, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), led by Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, President of FTI, held its annual general meeting for the year 2026 under the concept "GO as ONE: Lead Thailand Forward," aimed at presenting the operational achievements of FTI for the year 2025 at the BALLROOM 1 - 2, 1st floor, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), revealed that in 2025, amid a volatile and uncertain global economic situation, the industrial sector needed to adjust its operational strategies to adapt to rapid changes. The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), as a private sector organization that serves as a core link between the public and private sectors, continues to focus on elevating Thai industries and strengthening industrial operators under the vision “Strengthen Thai Industries for Stronger Thailand.”
FTI is committed to integrating efforts clearly towards stable goals while driving the Thai industrial sector alongside maintaining balance in sustainable economic, social, and environmental development under the policy “ONE FTI.” This goal is implemented through five key strategies consisting of: 1. Industry Collaboration, strengthening the Thai industrial sector; 2. First 2 Next-Gen Industry, advancing industries into the future; 3. Smart SMEs, enhancing SMEs to international standards with the 4GO strategy; 4. Smart Service Platform, developing services to elevate Thai industries; and 5. Sustainability, Achieve ESG, promoting the industrial sector towards sustainability.
FTI recognizes that industrial operators, especially SMEs, face complex challenges including geopolitical factors, technological changes (Digital Disruption), trade wars, international conflicts, as well as energy crises and environmental issues. Therefore, FTI aims to enhance the competitiveness of operators through the strategy “4GO,” which is seen as a crucial element in the transition of the Thai industrial sector, as follows:
1. GO Digital & AI: Encouraging operators to adopt digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in business operations to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and increase competitive potential while systematically building knowledge and technology skills.
2. GO Innovation: Supporting operators to access research and innovation projects to develop high-value-added products and services, creating differentiation and enhancing competitiveness in the market.
3. GO Global: Advocating Thai operators to produce quality products up to international standards to increase opportunities for export and connect to the global supply chain.
4. GO Green: Preparing operators for sustainable development following ESG guidelines by promoting eco-friendly products and services, while supporting access to funding for investment in technology, innovation, machinery, and production processes that help reduce environmental impacts and comply with international environmental measures.
Through the implementation of the 4GO strategy, FTI has generated various significant projects and activities to support operators and FTI members while creating positive impacts on the country's economy, such as organizing the FTI Expo 2025 under the theme “Empowering Thai Industry, Elevating Thailand’s Future,” which serves as a platform showcasing the potential of the Thai industrial sector in all dimensions, including innovation, technology, and sustainability. The event featured exhibits from leading operators, business matching activities, and academic seminars that provided new perspectives to participants, with over 60,000 attendees resulting in a total economic value of over 2,529 million baht.
Additionally, an international event, Foreign Industrial Club (FIC) 2025, was held as an important platform for exchanging knowledge, policy perspectives, and business experiences between the public sector, Thai private sector, and foreign investors, focusing on strengthening strategic cooperation, expanding trade and investment opportunities, and connecting with regional and global partners. This event plays a significant role in reflecting the confidence of foreign investors in the potential of the Thai economy and reinforcing Thailand’s role as a key investment center in Southeast Asia.
FTI has also taken proactive roles in supporting Thai operators and elevating Thai products through the Made in Thailand (MiT) project, which aims to promote the importance of procurement from domestically produced goods by government agencies to stimulate the use of Thai products, create opportunities for domestic operators, and strengthen the domestic supply chain. As a result of these efforts, the Made in Thailand (MiT) project has generated an economic value of over 110,448 million baht, which not only helps increase revenues for Thai operators but also plays a significant role in job creation, reducing reliance on imports, and elevating the competitive potential of Thai industries in the long run.
Another significant advancement is the establishment of the Defense Industry Club, marking it as the 48th industrial group under FTI, aimed at developing and elevating the capabilities of Thai operators to enter the security and defense industry, which is a high-value industry with continuous global growth potential.
This industrial group will serve as a hub to coordinate cooperation among the private sector, security agencies, and international partners to support technology transfer, product development, and strengthen the domestic supply chain even further while opening opportunities for Thai operators to access defense procurement projects and expand their markets globally.
Additionally, FTI has continued to expand and scale up important projects to enhance the capabilities of the Thai industrial sector in various dimensions, particularly in innovation, technology, and access to new markets. This includes the Innovation ONE project, which focuses on supporting operators with innovation potential through funds and cooperation with partners from both the public and private sectors to drive the development of new products and services that provide high added value and can compete at the international level.
Additionally, the Smart Agriculture Industry (SAI) project applies technology and innovation in agriculture, from production processes, processing, to increasing the value of agricultural raw materials to create a circular economy and enhance the income of farmers and operators.
At the local level, FTI has promoted the “One Industry, One Province” initiative through the Provincial E-Catalog platform which serves as a central repository for product and service data from operators across the nation, helping increase access to business partners both domestically and internationally while proactively supporting market expansion.
At the same time, FTI has developed the FTI e-Member Card to elevate the experience for members by offering various benefits, totaling more than 130 items covering tourism, health, services, and consumer goods, which help reduce costs and add tangible value to membership.
Another key role of FTI is to represent the industrial sector in reflecting viewpoints, issues, and policy proposals to the government, collecting opinions from operators across various sectors to facilitate discussions and establish joint directions in matters concerning economy, investment, and relevant regulations. In addition, FTI continues to monitor the impacts of various policies and propose adjustments to support operators, reduce business operation obstacles, and enhance the strength of Thailand's economy.
Moreover, on behalf of the Joint Public-Private Sector Committee of three institutions (JPPP), FTI also announced the resolution “Zero Corruption: JPPP and Friends Do Not Tolerate” to express the collective stance of the private sector in seriously combating corruption and promoting business operations with transparency and accountability. This initiative aims to elevate governance standards as a key criterion of Thai business, instilling confidence in both domestic and foreign investors while fostering a fair business environment.
“Throughout my tenure as President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), I would like to thank the executives, board members, all members, and employees for their unwavering support for FTI's operational activities to drive the Thai industrial sector to grow robustly and build confidence among the government, private sector, and civil society,” Mr. Kriangkrai said.
FTI will continue to persistently pursue policies and missions to support Thai industrial operators and FTI members continuously to elevate competitive capabilities to international standards and prepare for all challenges in the future while driving the Thai economy towards growth,” said Mr. Kriangkrai.
This annual general meeting not only provides an opportunity for FTI members and the media to hear about the operational results for the year 2025 but also reflects FTI's role as a key driving force of the Thai industrial sector in consolidating cooperation among all sectors to enhance competitiveness and lead Thai industries towards sustainable growth in the future.
