ส.อ.ท. เดินหน้ากระชับความสัมพันธ์ไทย–อินโดนีเซีย ผ่านสภาธุรกิจไทย-อินโดนีเซีย เชื่อมโยงภาคอุตสาหกรรมและภาคธุรกิจของสองประเทศ พร้อมต่อยอดโอกาสด้านการค้า การลงทุน และห่วงโซ่อุปทาน เพื่อเสริมศักยภาพการแข่งขันและขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจอาเซียนให้แข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น
เมื่อวันที่ 20 สิงหาคม 2569 นายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานอาวุโสสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อม ดร. กฤษฎา ประเสริฐสุโข ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-อินโดนีเซีย ส.อ.ท. และ ดร. สวนิตย์ บุญญาสุวัฒน์ รองประธานสถาบันน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และ Climate Change ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานเฉลิมฉลองเนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 81 ปี วันประกาศเอกราชสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย (81st Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia) ณ ห้อง Grand Ballroom โรงแรม Shangri-La กรุงเทพฯ
ภายในงาน H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo (นายฮารี ปราโบโว) เอกอัครราชทูตวิสามัญผู้มีอำนาจเต็มแห่งสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซียประจำประเทศไทย และผู้แทนถาวรประจำคณะกรรมาธิการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งสหประชาชาติสำหรับเอเชียและแปซิฟิก (UNESCAP) ให้เกียรติกล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมงาน พร้อมเน้นย้ำถึงความสำคัญของวันประกาศเอกราชสาธารณรัฐอินโดนีเซีย ซึ่งตรงกับวันที่ 17 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2488 เพื่อรำลึกถึงการประกาศเอกราชจากการปกครองของเนเธอร์แลนด์
สำหรับความสัมพันธ์ระดับทวิภาคี ประเทศไทยและอินโดนีเซียได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อวันที่ 7 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2493 และยกระดับสู่การเป็น “หุ้นส่วนยุทธศาสตร์” (Strategic Partnership) ในปี พ.ศ. 2568 โดยมุ่งมั่นขยายความร่วมมือรอบด้านเพื่อผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน ทั้งในระดับทวิภาคีและระดับภูมิภาค
การเข้าร่วมงานของคณะผู้แทนสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในครั้งนี้ ได้รับการต้อนรับด้วยไมตรีจิตและความอบอุ่น โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายต่างเชื่อมั่นว่า ความสัมพันธ์อันแน่นแฟ้นและความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและอินโดนีเซียจะเป็นฟันเฟืองสำคัญในการขับเคลื่อนการรวมตัวทางเศรษฐกิจ และเสริมสร้างภูมิคุ้มกันทางเศรษฐกิจให้แก่ภูมิภาคอาเซียน ท่ามกลางความท้าทายและความผันผวนของเศรษฐกิจโลกในปัจจุบัน
FTI is committed to strengthening Thai-Indonesian relations through the Thailand-Indonesia Business Council, linking the industrial and business sectors of both countries. This initiative aims to enhance trade, investment, and supply chain opportunities to boost competitiveness and drive a stronger ASEAN economy.
On August 20, 2026, Mr. Vetheep Chokwatana, Senior Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Dr. Kritada Prasertsukho, Chairman of the Thailand-Indonesia Business Council, and Dr. Suvanit Boonyasuwat, Vice Chairman of the Water, Environment, and Climate Change Institute of FTI, attended the celebration marking the 81st Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day at the Grand Ballroom of the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok.
During the event, H.E. Mr. Hari Prabowo, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Thailand, and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), graciously welcomed the attendees and emphasized the significance of Indonesia's Independence Day, which falls on August 17, 1945, to commemorate the declaration of independence from Dutch rule.
As for bilateral relations, Thailand and Indonesia established formal diplomatic relations on March 7, 1950 and elevated it to a “Strategic Partnership” in 2025, aiming to expand comprehensive cooperation for mutual benefits at both bilateral and regional levels.
The participation of the FTI delegation in this event was met with warm hospitality, with both sides confident that the strong relationship and cooperation between Thailand and Indonesia will serve as a crucial engine for economic integration and strengthen economic resilience in the ASEAN region amid the current challenges and volatility in the global economy.
