ส.อ.ท. ผลักดันความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจไทย–อินเดีย มุ่งเชื่อมโยงจุดแข็งของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อสร้างโอกาสใหม่ด้านการลงทุน เทคโนโลยี และอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต พร้อมส่งเสริมให้ผู้ประกอบการไทยเข้าถึงตลาดอินเดียซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในเศรษฐกิจที่เติบโตเร็วที่สุดของโลก
เมื่อวันที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2569 นายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานกิจการต่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมงาน India–Thailand Business Conclave โดยมี H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal เอกอัครราชทูตอินเดียประจำประเทศไทย เป็นเจ้าภาพ ณ โรงแรมเดอะ เวสทิน แกรนด์ สุขุมวิท กรุงเทพฯ
ในโอกาสดังกล่าว นายวิเชาวน์ได้กล่าว Keynote Speech ในหัวข้อ “Insights into Thailand’s Industrial Landscape and Development” นำเสนอศักยภาพภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยและโอกาสในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรมระหว่างไทยและอินเดีย โดยได้ย้ำถึงวามสัมพันธ์ไทยและอินเดียที่ยาวนานทั้งด้านประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม และเศรษฐกิจ โดยการยกระดับความสัมพันธ์สู่ Strategic Partnership จะเป็นพื้นฐานสำคัญในการขยายความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุน เทคโนโลยี และการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างกัน พร้อมเปรียบความสัมพันธ์ของสองประเทศเสมือนแม่น้ำเจ้าพระยาและแม่น้ำคงคา ที่หล่อเลี้ยงผู้คนและสนับสนุนความเจริญรุ่งเรืองมาอย่างยาวนาน
สำหรับภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย ประเทศไทยมีฐานการผลิตที่แข็งแกร่งและหลากหลาย ทั้งยานยนต์ อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ อาหารและการเกษตร ปิโตรเคมี เครื่องจักร พลังงาน และอุตสาหกรรมดิจิทัล โดยเฉพาะอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ที่กำลังเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ EV แบตเตอรี่ และเทคโนโลยียานยนต์สมัยใหม่ ซึ่งเป็นทั้งความท้าทายและโอกาสในการพัฒนาประเทศไทยสู่การเป็นฮับ EV ของภูมิภาค
ขณะเดียวกัน การเติบโตของเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล เช่น AI ระบบอัตโนมัติ หุ่นยนต์ เซมิคอนดักเตอร์ และดาต้าเซ็นเตอร์ รวมถึงการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำ ล้วนเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมไทยไปสู่กิจกรรมที่มีมูลค่าสูงขึ้น โดยต้องให้ความสำคัญกับการสนับสนุน SMEs ให้สามารถเข้าถึงเทคโนโลยีและปรับตัวได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
นายวิเชาวน์ มองว่าไทยและอินเดียมีจุดแข็งที่เกื้อหนุนกัน โดยอินเดียมีศักยภาพด้านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล เภสัชกรรม วิศวกรรม ซอฟต์แวร์ นวัตกรรม และสตาร์ทอัพ ขณะที่ไทยมีความแข็งแกร่งด้านการผลิต อาหาร ยานยนต์ อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ โลจิสติกส์ และห่วงโซ่อุปทานระดับภูมิภาค การเชื่อมโยงศักยภาพดังกล่าวจึงสามารถต่อยอดสู่การลงทุน การร่วมทุน ความร่วมมือด้านเทคโนโลยี และการสร้างห่วงโซ่มูลค่าระดับภูมิภาคที่แข็งแกร่งยิ่งขึ้น
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยสามารถเป็นฐานการผลิตและประตูสู่อาเซียนสำหรับบริษัทอินเดีย ขณะที่ผู้ประกอบการไทยสามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากตลาดอินเดียและศักยภาพด้านเทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรมของอินเดีย โดย ส.อ.ท. พร้อมสนับสนุนการเชื่อมโยงระหว่างภาคธุรกิจของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อเปลี่ยนศักยภาพของความสัมพันธ์ไทย–อินเดียไปสู่โอกาสทางธุรกิจที่เป็นรูปธรรม ทั้งด้านการลงทุน เทคโนโลยี และห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยและการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศในระยะยาว
The FTI promotes economic cooperation between Thailand and India, aiming to connect the strengths of both countries to create new opportunities in investment, technology, and future industries. It also encourages Thai entrepreneurs to access the Indian market, which is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.
On August 27, 2026, Mr. Vichaow Rakphongphairoj, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, attended the India–Thailand Business Conclave, hosted by H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal, the Indian Ambassador to Thailand, at The Westin Grand Sukhumvit, Bangkok.
During this occasion, Mr. Vichaow delivered a keynote speech titled “Insights into Thailand’s Industrial Landscape and Development,” showcasing the potential of the Thai industrial sector and opportunities for promoting business and industrial cooperation between Thailand and India. He emphasized the long-standing relationship between Thailand and India in terms of history, culture, and economy. Elevating the relationship to a Strategic Partnership will be a crucial foundation for expanding cooperation in trade, investment, technology, and connectivity, drawing a parallel between the relationship of the two countries and the Chao Phraya River and the Ganges River, which nourish the people and support long-standing prosperity.
For the Thai industrial sector, Thailand has a strong and diverse manufacturing base, including automotive, electronics, food and agriculture, petrochemicals, machinery, energy, and the digital industry. In particular, the automotive industry is transitioning to EVs, batteries, and modern automotive technologies, which presents both challenges and opportunities for Thailand to become an EV hub of the region.
At the same time, the growth of digital technologies such as AI, automation, robotics, semiconductors, and data centers, along with the transition to a low-carbon economy, presents significant opportunities to elevate the Thai industry to higher value-added activities. There is a need to prioritize support for SMEs to access technology and adapt effectively.
Mr. Vichaow views that Thailand and India possess complementary strengths. India has potential in digital technology, pharmaceuticals, engineering, software, innovation, and startups, while Thailand has strengths in manufacturing, food, automotive, electronics, logistics, and regional supply chains. Linking these potentials can thus lead to enhanced investment, joint ventures, technological collaboration, and the establishment of a stronger regional value chain.
Thailand can serve as a manufacturing base and gateway to ASEAN for Indian companies, while Thai entrepreneurs can leverage the Indian market and India's potential in technology and innovation. The FTI is ready to support the connection between the business sectors of both countries to translate the potential of Thailand–India relations into tangible business opportunities in investment, technology, and supply chains, which will benefit the Thai industrial sector and the country's economic growth in the long run.
