เมื่อวันที่ 11 มิถุนายน 2569 นายกิตติ ตั้งจิตรมณีศักดา รองประธานอาวุโสสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายมนตรี มหาพฤกษ์พงศ์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เป็นผู้แทนในนาม ส.อ.ท. และสภาธุรกิจไทย–รัสเซีย เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงรับรองและมอบกระเช้าดอกไม้แสดงความยินดีแก่ H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin เอกอัครราชทูตสหพันธรัฐรัสเซียประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสวันชาติสหพันธรัฐรัสเซีย โดยภายในงานได้รับเกียรติจากนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงมหาดไทย ร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดี ณ โรงแรมแชงกรี-ลา กรุงเทพมหานคร
ประเทศไทยและสหพันธรัฐรัสเซีย มีความสัมพันธ์อันดีและยาวนาน โดยได้สถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างกันมาตั้งแต่ปี 2440 อันเป็นปีที่พระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จประพาสนครเซนต์ปีเตอร์สเบิร์กอย่างเป็นทางการ นับแต่นั้นเป็นต้นมา ทั้งสองประเทศได้พัฒนาความสัมพันธ์และขยายความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องในหลากหลายมิติ ทั้งในระดับภาครัฐและภาคเอกชน อาทิ การจัดตั้งคณะกรรมาธิการร่วมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือทวิภาคีไทย–รัสเซีย (Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation: JC) และสภาธุรกิจไทย–รัสเซีย ซึ่งมีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านการเมือง เศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน วัฒนธรรม วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี และนวัตกรรมระหว่างสองประเทศ
ในโอกาสที่ปี 2570 จะเป็นวาระครบรอบ 130 ปีแห่งการสถาปนาความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย–รัสเซีย ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังคงมุ่งมั่นสานต่อความร่วมมือและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ในทุกมิติ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเป็นหุ้นส่วนที่เข้มแข็งและยั่งยืน อันจะนำไปสู่การเพิ่มพูนโอกาสด้านการค้า การลงทุน และการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้ระหว่างกันในอนาคต
นอกจากนี้ ในปี 2569 ยังถือเป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญของความสัมพันธ์ในระดับพหุภาคี เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 35 ปีความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างอาเซียนกับสหพันธรัฐรัสเซีย โดยมีกำหนดจัดการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียน–รัสเซีย (ASEAN–Russia Summit) ระหว่างวันที่ 17–18 มิถุนายน 2569 ณ เมืองคาซาน สหพันธรัฐรัสเซีย ซึ่งนับเป็นเวทีสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศสมาชิก เพื่อร่วมกันแสวงหาแนวทางรับมือกับความท้าทายระดับภูมิภาคและระดับโลกอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม อันจะก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ร่วมกันแก่ทุกฝ่าย และเสริมสร้างเสถียรภาพและความเจริญรุ่งเรืองของภูมิภาคในระยะยาว
On June 11, 2026, Mr. Kitti Tangjitramanisakda, Senior Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), together with Mr. Montree Mahaprukpong, Vice Chairman of FTI, represented the FTI and the Thai–Russian Business Council at a reception event where they presented a congratulatory flower basket to H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Thailand, on the occasion of Russia’s National Day. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, who also expressed his congratulations at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.
Thailand and the Russian Federation have enjoyed a long-standing and good relationship, having established diplomatic relations since 1897 when His Majesty King Chulalongkorn made an official visit to Saint Petersburg. Since then, both countries have continuously developed their relations and expanded cooperation in various dimensions, both at the governmental and private sector levels, such as the establishment of the Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation (JC) and the Thai–Russian Business Council, which play a significant role in promoting cooperation in politics, economics, trade, investment, culture, science, technology, and innovation between the two countries.
In 2027, which marks the 130th anniversary of Thai–Russian diplomatic relations, both sides remain committed to continuing their cooperation and strengthening relations in all dimensions to foster a strong and sustainable partnership that will lead to increased trade, investment opportunities, and knowledge exchange in the future.
Furthermore, the year 2026 also marks an important milestone in multilateral relations, coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the relationship between ASEAN and the Russian Federation. The ASEAN–Russia Summit is scheduled to be held from June 17–18, 2026, in Kazan, the Russian Federation, serving as an important platform for member countries to promote cooperation and jointly seek ways to address regional and global challenges effectively, which will benefit all parties and enhance stability and prosperity in the region in the long term.
