เมื่อวันที่ 18 เมษายน 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายวิศิษฎ์ ลิ้มประนะ ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-ฟิลิปปินส์ และ นายกริช อึ้งวิทูรย์สถิตย์ ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-เมียนมา ให้การต้อนรับนายตุลย์ ไตรโสรัส เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมะนิลา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ เนื่องในโอกาสเดินทางเยือนประเทศไทย ณ ห้องรับรอง ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งนี้ ได้มีการหารือประเด็นต่างๆ ที่สำคัญ ดังนี้
1. ปี 2567 จะเป็นปีแห่งการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 75 ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตระหว่างไทยกับฟิลิปินส์ ซึ่งตลอดปีจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกันระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชน รวมถึงการเยือนของผู้บริหารระดับสูง
2. ภาพรวมการค้าและเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยกับฟิลิปปินส์ ยังคงเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง ในช่วงไตรมาสที่ 3 ของปี 2566 ฟิลิปปินส์มีการลงทุนจากต่างประเทศ (Foreign Investment: FI) มูลค่ารวม 2.73 หมึ่นล้านเปโซ โดยสิงคโปร์เป็นประเทศอันดับ 1 ที่เข้าไปลงทุนด้วย
3. มีการหารือแนวทางการจัดกิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่าง 2 ประเทศในอุตสาหกรรมที่ไทยมีศักยภาพ เช่น ธุรกิจพลังงานสะอาด (Wind Energy / Solar Farm) โครงสร้างพื้นฐานและระบบสื่อสารโทรคมนาคม การท่องเที่ยว (Cruise / Diving) และธุรกิจบริการ (Hospitality) ซึ่งเป็นอุตสาหกรรมที่ทางฟิลิปปินส์มีศักยภาพ
4. การเตรียมภาคเอกชนในการจัดทำ MOU ร่วมระหว่างหน่วยงานไทยและฟิลิปปินส์ เช่น Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine-Thailand Business Council, Makati Club เป็นต้น
On April 18, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Visith Limpranart, Chairman of the Thai-Philippines Business Council, and Mr. Krit Uengwitoonsathit, Chairman of the Thai-Myanmar Business Council, welcomed Mr. Tull Traisorat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Manila, Philippines, during his visit to Thailand at the FTI reception room.
During the meeting, various important topics were discussed, including:
1. The year 2024 will mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Philippines. There will be joint activities throughout the year involving both public and private sectors, including visits from high-ranking officials.
2. The overall trade and economic relationship between Thailand and the Philippines continues to grow. In the third quarter of 2023, the Philippines attracted foreign investment worth a total of 2.73 billion pesos, with Singapore being the top investor.
3. Strategies for organizing activities to promote cooperation between the two countries in industries where Thailand has potential were discussed, such as clean energy (Wind Energy / Solar Farm), infrastructure and telecommunications systems, tourism (Cruise / Diving), and hospitality services, which are areas of potential for the Philippines.
4. Preparations for the private sector to develop MOUs between Thai and Philippine organizations, such as the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), Philippine-Thailand Business Council, and Makati Club, among others.
