เมื่อวันที่ 30 เมษายน 2567 นายวิศิษฎ์ ลิ้มประนะ ประธานสภาธุรกิจไทย-ฟิลิปปินส์ ได้กำหนดจัดประชุมคณะกรรมการสภาธุรกิจไทย-ฟิลิปปินส์ ครั้งที่ 1/2567 และได้รับเกียรติจากนายตุลย์ ไตรโสรัส เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงมะนิลา ประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ เข้าร่วมบรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ “ภาพรวมการค้าและเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศไทยกับประเทศฟิลิปปินส์” โดยมีคณะกรรมการ ส.อ.ท. และคณะกรรมการสภาธุรกิจฯ เข้าร่วมรับฟัง ณ ห้องประชุม PFP Healthy ชั้น 10 ส.อ.ท. และผ่านระบบออนไลน์
การบรรยายครั้งนี้ ได้มีการกล่าวถึงภาพรวมด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างไทยกับฟิลิปปินส์ว่าปัจจุบันฟิลิปปินส์มีนโยบายการส่งเสริมความมั่นคงในด้านการเกษตร ด้านพลังงาน ด้านน้ำมัน โดยธุรกิจที่เป็นที่ต้องการให้เข้าไปลงทุน ได้แก่ ธุรกิจพลังงานทางเลือก (โซลาร์เซลล์ พลังงานลม ไบโอแมสชีวภาพ) ธุรกิจบรรจุภัณฑ์ ธุรกิจเกี่ยวกับระบบทำความเย็น (Cold Chain และ Cold Storage) ธุรกิจบริการและการท่องเที่ยว (สายการบิน โรงแรม เรือท่องเที่ยว ดำน้ำ) และธุรกิจสินค้าอาหารฮาลาล เป็นต้น
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้กล่าวถึงแผนการจัดกิจกรรมต่างๆ ในช่วงของการเฉลิมฉลองครบรอบ 75 ปีความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูต ระหว่างไทยกับฟิลิปปินส์ในปีนี้ ซึ่งตลอดปีจะมีการจัดกิจกรรมร่วมกันระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและเอกชน รวมถึงการเยือนของผู้บริหารระดับสูงอีกด้วย
On April 30, 2024, Mr. Wisit Limprana, Chairman of the Thailand-Philippines Business Council, organized the first meeting of the Thailand-Philippines Business Council for the year 2024, with the honor of having Mr. Tull Traisuras, Ambassador to Manila, Philippines, deliver a special lecture on the topic “Overview of Trade and Economy between Thailand and the Philippines.” Members of the FTI and the Business Council also attended the meeting at the PFP Healthy Conference Room, 10th Floor, FTI, and joined online.
This lecture discussed the overall economic, trade, and investment landscape between Thailand and the Philippines, noting that the Philippines currently has policies to promote security in agriculture, energy, and oil sectors. The sectors that are sought for investment include alternative energy businesses (solar cells, wind energy, biomass), packaging businesses, cold chain and cold storage systems, services and tourism (airlines, hotels, cruise ships, diving), and halal food products, among others.
Additionally, plans for various activities during the celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Philippines this year were discussed, with collaborative activities between government and private sectors planned throughout the year, including visits from high-level executives.
