เมื่อวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับเกียรติเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายในงาน Thailand Competitiveness Forum 2024 ณ ห้อง Auditorium ชั้น 7 อาคาร KX Knowledge Xchange มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี โดยนายเกรียงไกร ได้นำเสนอประเด็นความท้าทายของเศรษฐกิจโลก ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่ออุตสาหกรรมไทย ประกอบด้วย 1. Technology Disruption หรือเทคโนโลยีหรือนวัตกรรมรูปแบบใหม่ๆ ที่เข้ามาเปลี่ยนแปลงการดำเนินธุรกิจ ซึ่งต่อจากนี้จะต้องให้ความสำคัญกับนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยี โดยนำเอาระบบ AI และ Robot เข้ามามีบทบาทมากขึ้น 2. สงครามการค้า (Trade War) ที่กำลังจะกลับมาและสงครามด้านเทคโนโลยี (Technology War) ที่กำลังรุนแรงยิ่งขึ้น 3. ผลกระทบจากโควิด-19 ที่ส่งผลกระทบทำให้หนี้ครัวเรือนปรับตัวสูงขึ้น 4. ปัญหาภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ (Geopolitics) ที่กดดันเศรษฐกิจโลก 5. การเข้าสู่ภาวะโลกเดือด (Global Boiling) ที่นำไปสู่มาตรการแก้ไขปัญหาด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และรูปแบบในการดำเนินธุรกิจ
นอกจากนี้ นายเกรียงไกร ยังได้นำเสนอแนวทางการยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรมของ ส.อ.ท. ทั้งการยกระดับขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมเดิม (FIRST INDUSTRIES) และการเร่งสร้างเครื่องยนต์ใหม่ขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจด้วยอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคต (NEXT-GEN INDUSTRIES) โดยมีข้อเสนอแนะ ดังนี้ 1) ปรับโมเดลทางธุรกิจเพื่อสร้างโอกาสในการเข้าไปมีส่วนใน Supply Chain ของอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายของไทย (S-Curve) หรือ Next-Gen Industries 2) ปรับปรุงกระบวนการผลิตและสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้กับสินค้าด้วยการใช้เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม รวมทั้งการนำเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล & AI มาช่วยในการดำเนินธุรกิจและบริหารจัดการองค์กร 3) พัฒนาสินค้าและยกระดับมาตรฐานสินค้าให้เป็นที่ยอมรับของตลาด และมุ่งเจาะตลาดต่างประเทศที่มีศักยภาพ 4) ยกระดับฝีมือแรงงานด้วยการ Upskill & Reskill และสร้าง New Skill และ 5) เตรียมความพร้อมในการพัฒนาองค์กรให้สอดคล้องกับแนวคิดการพัฒนาองค์กรอย่างยั่งยืน (ESG) และต่อยอดธุรกิจด้วยแนวคิด BCG Model (เศรษฐกิจชีวภาพ เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนและเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว)
On June 6, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Tiennukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was honored to be a speaker at the Thailand Competitiveness Forum 2024 held at the Auditorium on the 7th floor of the KX Knowledge Xchange Building, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. Mr. Kriangkrai presented the challenges of the global economy that are impacting Thai industries, which include: 1. Technology Disruption, or the new forms of technology and innovation that are changing business operations, wherein there needs to be a greater emphasis on innovation and technology, particularly through the integration of AI and Robotics; 2. The resumption of Trade Wars and the escalating Technology War; 3. The impact of COVID-19, which has caused household debt to increase; 4. Geopolitical issues that are pressuring the global economy; and 5. The onset of Global Boiling, leading to measures to address environmental issues and the business operational models.
Additionally, Mr. Kriangkrai outlined ways to enhance the competitiveness of the FTI's industrial sector, which involves both improving the competitiveness of existing industries (FIRST INDUSTRIES) and accelerating the creation of new engines to drive the economy with Next-Gen Industries. The recommendations include: 1) Adapting business models to create opportunities for participation in the supply chain of Thailand's target industries (S-Curve) or Next-Gen Industries; 2) Improving production processes and adding value to products by utilizing technology and innovation, including adopting digital technology and AI to aid in business operations and organizational management; 3) Developing products and elevating product standards to be market-accepted, with a focus on penetrating high-potential international markets; 4) Upskilling and reskilling the workforce and creating new skills; and 5) Preparing for organizational development in line with sustainable development concepts (ESG) and expanding business through the BCG Model (Bio-Circular-Green Economy).
