เมื่อวันที่ 3 กรกฎาคม 2567 นายอรุณ เอี่ยมสุรีย์ ประธานสถาบันเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนไทย – จีน สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายวรวิทย์ จำเริญเลิศ กรรมการสถาบันฯ เข้าร่วมงานเสวนาและนำเสนอผลงานทางวิชาการในหัวข้อเรื่อง “การสร้างประชาคมที่มีอนาคตร่วมกันระหว่างไทย-จีน (Building a Thailand – China Community with a Shared Future)“ ซึ่งจัดโดยศูนย์จีนศึกษา สถาบันเอเชียศึกษาจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ร่วมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีนประจำประเทศไทย
โดยได้รับเกียรติจาก ฯพณฯ นายหาน จื้อเฉียง (H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang) เอกอัครราชทูตจีนประจำประเทศไทย และ ศ. (พิเศษ) ดร.สุรเกียรติ์ เสถียรไทย นายกสภาจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยและอดีตรัฐมนตรีประจำกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวเปิดงาน ณ ห้องโถง Social Innovation Hub อาคารวิศิษฐ์ ประจวบเหมาะ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในงานเสวนา ได้มีการพูดถึงความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศไทยและประเทศจีนที่มีระยะเวลายาวนานถึง 50 ปี และได้มีการแลกเปลี่ยน หารือในระดับผู้นำประเทศ ภาครัฐและเอกชน และระดับประชาชนของทั้งสองประเทศ เช่น การจัดตั้งกรอบความร่วมมือทางยุทธศาสตร์ไทย-จีน กรอบความร่วมมือแม่โขง – ล้านช้าง เป็นต้น
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้ร่วมหารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางในการสร้างความร่วมมือในอนาคต เช่น ความร่วมมือด้านการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยี การสร้างเครือข่ายการเรียนรู้ด้านการวิจัยและวิชาการ
On July 3, 2024, Mr. Arun Iamsuree, Chairman of the Thailand-China Economic and Investment Institute of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Worawit Jamroenlerd, a committee member of the institute, participated in a seminar and presented academic work on the topic “Building a Thailand – China Community with a Shared Future,” organized by the China Studies Center of Chulalongkorn University's Asia Research Institute in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Thailand.
They had the honor of having H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang, the Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, and Professor (Special) Dr. Surakiat Satheeharit, President of Chulalongkorn University and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, to jointly open the event at the Social Innovation Hub, Visith Prakob Building, Chulalongkorn University. The seminar discussed the longstanding relationship and cooperation between Thailand and China for over 50 years, as well as exchanges and discussions at the leadership level between the public and private sectors, and among the peoples of both countries, such as the establishment of the Thailand-China Strategic Cooperation Framework and the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Framework, etc.
Additionally, discussions were held on future cooperation initiatives, such as collaboration in technology development and the creation of a research and academic learning network.
