ส.อ.ท. ประชุมร่วมรองนายกฯ มุ่งขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจพื้นที่กลุ่มจังหวัดภาคกลางตอนบนFTI Joint Meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Aiming to Drive the Economy in the Upper Central Province Group

On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) of the Upper Central Province Group, led by Mr. Sanit Kesuwan, Chairman of the Upper Central Province Group, along with Mr. Chaikrit Phumkhem, Chairman of the Province of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ms. Jitra Saengwattanaruek, Chairwoman of the Province of Lopburi, Mr. Charoenchai Chaliangriang, Chairman of the Province of Saraburi, Mr. Wasan Senanuwat, Chairman of the Province of Sing Buri, and Mr. Phitak Sianghom, Vice Chairman of the Province of Chainat, participated in an integrated meeting between the public and private sectors to develop the Upper Central Province Group (Chai Nat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Sing Buri, and Ang Thong)
and elevate the watershed area into a sustainable digital economy, honored by Police General Patcharawat Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister, who chaired the meeting at the Ariyasampan Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Department of Climate Change and Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Additionally, projects were considered for the Upper Central Province Group, such as
1. Projects to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of life for the people in the area, in terms of agricultural product transportation and addressing flood issues.
2. Important projects reflecting the need of development partners (GPP)
• Project to enhance water resource management for agriculture through the installation of solar energy systems (Solar Cell) at water pumping stations in the area to reduce the burden of electricity costs and decrease farmers' expenses.
• Project to elevate and develop historical and cultural tourism, to promote safety measures for the local community and tourists.
• Project to create and enhance agricultural and food industry operators, to improve and develop products ready for the Modern Trade market.
• Saraburi Sandbox Project to serve as Thailand's first low-carbon city model, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Furthermore, the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) is scheduled to hold a meeting with the private sector in the area on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Government Center of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, to gather opinions from the local business community.

Additionally, the development projects for Chai Nat, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Sing Buri, and Ang Thong were reviewed with participation from more than 38 public, private, and development partner organizations.
