วันอังคารที่ 27 สิงหาคม 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมปาฐกถาพิเศษ เรื่อง "การขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจที่เป็นธรรมและยั่งยืน" ในงานสัมมนาทางวิชาการคณะเศรษฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ (Symposium) ประจำปี 2567 ครั้งที่ 45 ภายใต้หัวข้อเรื่อง เศรษฐกิจที่เป็นธรรมและยั่งยืน เพื่อการบรรลุวาระการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ค.ศ. 2030 ณ หอประชุมศรีบูรพา มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ท่าพระจันทร์
นายเกรียงไกร ได้นำเสนอสถานการณ์เศรษฐกิจและอุตสาหกรรมในยุคปัจจุบัน ที่ต้องเผชิญความท้าทายจากหลายด้าน ทั้งในด้านของสถานการณ์โรคระบาด สงครามการค้า ปัญหาภูมิรัฐศาสตร์ ภาวะโลกเดือด และ Technology Disruption โดยเฉพาะการใช้ AI ที่ส่งผลกระทบเป็นวงกว้าง บางอาชีพในอุตสาหกรรมถูกแทนที่ด้วยเทคโนโลยี และ SME คือ ผู้ที่ได้รับผลกระทบที่รุนแรงที่สุด
ปัจจุบันหลายประเทศทั่วโลกกำลังให้ความสำคัญในด้านความคิดของการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero) โดยเฉพาะประเทศคู่ค้าหลักอย่างเวียดนาม สิงคโปร์ มาเลเซีย และลาว ที่มีความเข้มงวดขึ้นในด้านของคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ เพราะฉะนั้นถึงเวลาแล้วที่ประเทศไทยจะตื่นตัวและให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องนี้
อย่างไรก็ตาม ส.อ.ท. มีเป้าหมายในการส่งเสริมและยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมไทย โดยมุ่งแผนการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนโดยหลักการ BCG Model โดยจะมุ่งไปที่ Green Industry, Clean Technology, and Net Zero โดย ส.อ.ท. จะพา SME ไทยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจไปพร้อมกับหลักการ 4 Go แบ่งเป็น "Go Digital & AI" โดยสนับสนุนให้สมาชิกของ ส.อ.ท. สามารถใช้ดิจิทัล ในการยกระดับคุณภาพของผลิตภัณฑ์และการประกอบการ "Go Innovation" ผลักดันการประยุกต์ใช้นวัตกรรมเข้ามาเพื่อพัฒนาฐานการผลิต "Go Global" ส่งเสริมให้สามารถนำผลิตภัณฑ์ออกสู่ท้องตลาดโลกและเป็นที่ยอมรับในระดับมาตรฐานสากล และ "Go Green" SME ไทยจะไม่ลืมที่จะรับผิดชอบสิ่งแวดล้อมและให้ความเป็นธรรมแก่สังคมโดยการทดแทน แก้ไข และดูแลธรรมชาติจากการใช้พลังงานสะอาด
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. เชื่อว่า การร่วมมือกันผลักดันและขับเคลื่อนในครั้งนี้ จะช่วยเป็นแรงหนุนหลังให้ผู้ประกอบการและอุตสาหกรรมไทยเพื่อมุ่งสู่ความสำเร็จอย่างเป็นธรรมและยั่งยืนต่อไปในอนาคต
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), delivered a special lecture on "Driving a Fair and Sustainable Economy" during the annual academic seminar of the Faculty of Economics, Thammasat University (Symposium) for the 45th time in 2024. The theme focused on fair and sustainable economics to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, held at the Sri Burapha Auditorium, Thammasat University, Tha Phra Chan.
Mr. Kriangkrai presented the current economic and industrial situation, which faces challenges from various fronts, including the pandemic, trade wars, geopolitical issues, global turmoil, and technology disruptions. Particularly, the use of AI is having a widespread impact, replacing certain jobs in the industry, with SMEs being the most affected.
Currently, many countries around the world are emphasizing the concept of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, especially major trading partners such as Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Laos, who are increasing their carbon dioxide measures. Therefore, it is time for Thailand to be vigilant and prioritize this issue.
Nonetheless, the FTI aims to promote and elevate Thai industries by focusing on sustainable development plans based on the BCG Model, targeting Green Industry, Clean Technology, and Net Zero. The FTI plans to drive the Thai SME economy forward with the principles of 4 Go: "Go Digital & AI," supporting FTI members in leveraging digital technologies to enhance product quality and business operations; "Go Innovation," promoting the application of innovations to develop production bases; "Go Global," facilitating the entry of products into global markets and ensuring international standards; and "Go Green," ensuring that Thai SMEs take environmental responsibility and promote social equity by substituting, rectifying, and caring for nature through the use of clean energy.
The FTI believes that collaboration in this drive will provide vital support for entrepreneurs and Thai industries in their pursuit of fair and sustainable success in the future.
