วันอังคารที่ 27 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2567 นายสุรพงษ์ ไพสิฐพัฒนพงษ์ ที่ปรึกษาประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์และโฆษกกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เปิดเผยจำนวนการผลิต ยอดขายภายในประเทศ และการส่งออกรถยนต์และรถจักรยานยนต์ของประเทศ ในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ว่ายอดผลิตรถยนต์ 124,829 คัน ลดลงร้อยละ 16.62 ขาย 46,394 คัน ลดลงร้อยละ 20.58 ส่งออก 83,527 คัน ลดลงร้อยละ 22.70 ผลิตรถยนต์ไฟฟ้า 552 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 18,300 ขายรถยนต์ไฟฟ้า (BEV) 6,835 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นร้อยละ 54.01
การผลิต
จำนวนรถยนต์ทั้งหมดที่ผลิตได้ในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 มีทั้งสิ้น 124,829 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 16.62 เพราะผลิตขายในประเทศลดลงร้อยละ 40.85 ตามยอดขายรถยนต์ในประเทศที่ลดลงจากการเข้มงวดในการให้สินเชื่อของสถาบันการเงินเพราะหนี้ครัวเรือนสูงและเศรษฐกิจที่อ่อนแอ แต่เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมิถุนายน 2567 ร้อยละ 7.34
จำนวนรถยนต์ที่ผลิตได้ในเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 886,069 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 17.28
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 46,046 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 8.94 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่ง Internal Combustion Engine มีจำนวน 32,251 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 17.83
• รถยนต์นั่ง Battery Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 522 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 18,300
• รถยนต์นั่ง Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 372 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 54.80
• รถยนต์นั่ง Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 12,871 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 22.65
ยอดผลิตของรถยนต์นั่ง ตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 มีจำนวน 329,269 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 37.16 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 11.40 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถยนต์นั่ง Internal Combustion Engine มีจำนวน 209,571 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 28.39
• รถยนต์นั่ง Battery Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 5,505 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 3,670.55
• รถยนต์นั่ง Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 3,561 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 44.10
• รถยนต์นั่ง Hybrid Electric Vehicle มีจำนวน 110,632 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 52.71
รถยนต์โดยสารขนาดต่ำกว่า 10 ตัน และมากกว่า 10 ตัน ขึ้นไป ในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ไม่มีการผลิต รวมเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 10 คัน ลดลงจากปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 87.80
รถยนต์บรรทุก เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งหมด 78,783 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 20.53 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งสิ้น 556,790 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 20.40
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งหมด 77,838 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 19.14 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งสิ้น 544,576 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 61.46 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 19.93 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 88,323 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 29.03
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 361,177 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 19.26
• รถกระบะ PPV 95,076 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 12.25
รถบรรทุกขนาดต่ำกว่า 5 ตัน - มากกว่า 10 ตัน เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 945 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 67.19 รวมเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 12,214 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 37
ผลิตเพื่อส่งออก
เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 87,538 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 70.13 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 1.01 ส่วนเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตเพื่อส่งออกได้ 603,721 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 68.13 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ระยะเวลาเดียวกันร้อยละ 2.20
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก 25,958 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 8.02 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตเพื่อส่งออกได้ทั้งสิ้น 177,466 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 53.90 ของยอดผลิตรถยนต์นั่ง ซึ่งเพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 3.72
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 มียอดการผลิตเพื่อการส่งออก 61,580 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 1.67 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตเพื่อส่งออกได้ทั้งสิ้น 426,255 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 78.27 ของยอดการผลิตรถกระบะ ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 4.47 โดยแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 35,322 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 24.35
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 314,612 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 7.69
• รถกระบะ PPV 76,321 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 30.01
ผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ
เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 37,291 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 29.87 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 40.85 และเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 282,348 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 31.87 ของยอดการผลิตทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 37.80
รถยนต์นั่ง เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ 20,088 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 24.30 แต่ตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ผลิตได้ 151,803 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 46.10 ของยอดการผลิตรถยนต์นั่ง โดยเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ลดลงร้อยละ 24.30
รถกระบะขนาด 1 ตัน เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 มียอดการผลิตเพื่อจำหน่ายในประเทศ 16,258 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 51.65 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งสิ้น 118,321 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 21.73 ของยอดการผลิตรถกระบะ และลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 49.42 ซึ่งแบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะบรรทุก 53,001 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 31.84
• รถกระบะดับเบิลแค็บ 46,565 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 56.28
• รถกระบะ PPV 18,755 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม-กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 62.22
รถยนต์โดยสารขนาดต่ำกว่า 10 ตัน และมากกว่า 10 ตัน ขึ้นไป ในเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ไม่มีการผลิต รวมเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 10 คัน ลดลงจากปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 87.80
รถบรรทุก เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ 945 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 67.19 และตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตได้ทั้งสิ้น 12,214 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 37
รถจักรยานยนต์
เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์ได้ทั้งสิ้น 179,176 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 8.01 แยกเป็นรถจักรยานยนต์สำเร็จรูป (CBU) 150,947 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 11.27 แต่ชิ้นส่วนประกอบรถจักรยานยนต์ (CKD) 28,229 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 14.52
ยอดการผลิตรถจักรยานยนต์เดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2567 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 1,376,369 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 8.33 โดยแยกเป็นรถจักรยานยนต์สำเร็จรูป (CBU) 1,145,520 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 11.73 แต่ชิ้นส่วนประกอบรถจักรยานยนต์ (CKD) 230,849 คัน เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 13.30
ยอดขาย
ยอดขายรถยนต์ภายในประเทศของเดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 มีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 46,394 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมิถุนายน 2567 ร้อยละ 2.66 และลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 20.58 เพราะการเข้มงวดในการให้สินเชื่อโดยเฉพาะรถกระบะและรถบรรทุกจากความกังวลเรื่องหนี้ครัวเรือนที่สูงถึงร้อยละ 91 ของ GDP ของประเทศและเศรษฐกิจที่เติบโตต่ำในอัตราร้อยละ 1.5 ในไตรมาสที่ 1 ของปี 2567 จากงบประมาณรายจ่ายปีที่ล่าช้า
รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ มีจำนวน 27,736 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 59.78 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 7.03
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์สันดาปภายใน (ICE) 11,837 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 25.51 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 37.57
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้า (BEV) 6,835 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 14.73 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 54.01
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสมแบบเสียบปลั๊ก (PHEV) 160 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 0.34 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 20.30
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสม (HEV) 8,904 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 19.19 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 41.29
รถกระบะมีจำนวน 13,167 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 35.17 รถ PPV มีจำนวน 2,958 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 36.70 รถบรรทุก 5 – 10 ตัน มีจำนวน 1,318 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 42.57 และรถประเภทอื่นๆ มีจำนวน 1,215 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้ว 7.11
ส่วนรถจักรยานยนต์ มียอดขาย 141,557 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมิถุนายน 2566 ร้อยละ 5.97 และลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 6.12
ตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคม - กรกฎาคม 2567 รถยนต์มียอดขาย 354,421 คัน ลดลงจากปี 2566 ในระยะเวลาเดียวกันร้อยละ 23.71 แยกเป็น
รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ มีจำนวน 212,217 คันเท่ากับร้อยละ 59.88 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 8.58
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์สันดาปภายใน (ICE) 94,497 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 26.66 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 36.59
• รถยนต์นั่งแหละรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้า (BEV) 40,343 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 11.38 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วที่ร้อยละ 12.75
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสมแบบเสียบปลั๊ก (PHEV) 1,363 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 0.38 ของยอดขายทั้งหมด ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 6.26
• รถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ไฟฟ้าผสม (HEV) 76,014 คัน เท่ากับร้อยละ 21.45 ของยอดขายรถยนต์นั่งและรถยนต์นั่งตรวจการณ์ เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนเดียวกันปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 65.75
รถกระบะมีจำนวน 102,748 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 39.56 รถ PPV มีจำนวน 21,814 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 42.50 รถบรรทุก 5 – 10 ตัน มีจำนวน 9,657 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนเดียวกันในปีที่แล้วร้อยละ 37.38 และรถประเภทอื่นๆ มีจำนวน 7,985 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนช่วงกันในปีที่แล้ว 11.89
ส่วนรถจักรยานยนต์ มียอดขาย 1,032,091 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 9.84 แบ่งเป็นรถจักรยานยนต์ ICE จำนวน 1,031,891 คัน ลดลงจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันร้อยละ 9.78 รถจักรยานยนต์ BEV จำนวน 200 คัน ลดลงจากช่วงเวลาเดียวกันร้อยละ 9.09
การส่งออก
รถยนต์สำเร็จรูป
เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 ส่งออกได้ 83,527 คัน ลดลงจากเดือนที่แล้วร้อยละ 6.22 และลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 22.70 เพราะปัญหาการขนส่งไปตะวันออกกลางและยุโรปจากสงครามอิสราเอลกับฮามาส จึงส่งออกลดลงในตลาดเอเชีย ออสเตรเลีย ตะวันออกกลาง ยุโรป อเมริกากลางและอเมริกาใต้ แบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะ 45,439 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 54.40 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 24.68
• รถยนต์นั่ง ICE 26,288 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 31.47 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 22.65
• รถยนต์นั่ง HEV 3,684 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 4.41 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 405.35
• รถ PPV 8,116 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 9.72 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 37.59
มูลค่าการส่งออกรถยนต์ 56,397.87 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 16.56
• เครื่องยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 4,047.92 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 15.22
• ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์อื่นๆ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 18,450.88 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 3.52
• อะไหล่รถยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 2,537.63 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 23.69
รวมมูลค่าส่งออกรถยนต์เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 เครื่องยนต์ ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ และอะไหล่ มีมูลค่า 81,434.29 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 11.71
เดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2567 ส่งออกรถยนต์สำเร็จรูป 602,567 คัน ลดลงจากช่วงระยะเวลาเดียวกันร้อยละ 5.39 แบ่งเป็น
• รถกระบะ ICE 346,939 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 57.58 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 7.68
• รถยนต์นั่ง ICE 146,449 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 24.30 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด ลดลงจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 21.93
• รถยนต์นั่ง HEV 31,196 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 5.18 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ 490.50
• รถ PPV 77,983 คัน มีสัดส่วนร้อยละ 12.94 ของการส่งออกทั้งหมด เพิ่มขึ้นจากปี 2566 ร้อยละ14.36
มูลค่าการส่งออกรถยนต์ 419,872.26 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 5.82 โดยมีรายละเอียด ดังนี้
• เครื่องยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 19,980.06 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 5.83
• ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์อื่นๆ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 112,219.57 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 7.76
• อะไหล่รถยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออก 15,108.74 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 12.24
รวมมูลค่าส่งออกรถยนต์เดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2567 เครื่องยนต์ ชิ้นส่วนรถยนต์ และอะไหล่ มีมูลค่า 567,180.63 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมกราคม – กรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 5.90
รถจักรยานยนต์
เดือนกรกฎาคม 2567 มีจำนวนส่งออก 58,757 คัน (รวม CBU + CKD) เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนมิถุนายน 2567 ร้อยละ 7.39 และลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 8.53 โดยมีมูลค่า 4,624.92 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 18.72
• ชิ้นส่วนรถจักรยานยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออกทั้งสิ้น 240.21 ล้านบาท ลดลงจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 21.33
• อะไหล่รถจักรยานยนต์ มีมูลค่าการส่งออกทั้งสิ้น 209.81 ล้านบาท เพิ่มขึ้นจากเดือนกรกฎาคม 2566 ร้อยละ 13.83

On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, Mr. Surapong Paisitpattanapong, Senior Advisor to the President of the Automotive Industry Group and Spokesperson for the Automotive Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), revealed the production figures, domestic sales, and exports of automobiles and motorcycles for July 2024, stating that the total production of automobiles was 124,829 units, a decrease of 16.62%, with sales at 46,394 units, a drop of 20.58%, and exports at 83,527 units, a decrease of 22.70%. The production of electric vehicles stood at 552 units, marking an increase of 18,300%, while the sales of battery electric vehicles (BEV) reached 6,835 units, up 54.01%.
Production
Total automobile production in July 2024 was 124,829 units, a decrease of 16.62% compared to July 2023, due to a 40.85% drop in domestic sales caused by stringent lending policies from financial institutions due to high household debt and a weak economy. However, production increased by 7.34% from June 2024.
From January to July 2024, a total of 886,069 vehicles were produced, a decline of 17.28% from the same period in 2023.
In July 2024, a total of 46,046 passenger cars were produced, reflecting an 8.94% drop from the same month in 2023, divided as follows:
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 32,251 units (down 17.83% from July 2023)
• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) passenger cars: 522 units (up 18,300% from July 2023)
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) passenger cars: 372 units (down 54.80% from July 2023)
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) passenger cars: 12,871 units (up 22.65% from July 2023)
From January to July 2024, passenger car production totaled 329,269 units, accounting for 37.16% of total production, down 11.40% from the same period in 2023, divided as follows:
• Internal Combustion Engine passenger cars: 209,571 units (down 28.39% from January to July 2023)
• Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) passenger cars: 5,505 units (up 3,670.55% from January to July 2023)
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) passenger cars: 3,561 units (down 44.10% from January to July 2023)
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) passenger cars: 110,632 units (up 52.71% from January to July 2023)
For passenger vehicles under 10 tons and over 10 tons produced in July 2024, no production occurred. From January to July 2024, a total of 10 units were produced, down 87.80% from last year. For trucks, 78,783 units were produced in July 2024, a decrease of 20.53% from July 2023, and total truck production from January to July 2024 was 556,790 units, down 20.40% from the same period in 2023.
In July 2024, a total of 77,838 one-ton trucks were produced, reflecting a decrease of 19.14% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, the total production was 544,576 units, accounting for 61.46% of total production, down 19.93% from January to July 2023, divided as follows:
• One-ton trucks: 88,323 units (down 29.03% from January to July 2023)
• Double Cab trucks: 361,177 units (down 19.26% from January to July 2023)
• PPV trucks: 95,076 units (down 12.25% from January to July 2023)
For trucks weighing less than 5 tons and more than 10 tons produced in July 2024, 945 units were produced, a decrease of 67.19% from July 2023. Total production from January to July 2024 reached 12,214 units, down 37% from the same period in 2023.
Export Production
In July 2024, 87,538 units were produced for export, representing 70.13% of total production, an increase of 1.01% from July 2023. For the period from January to July 2024, a total of 603,721 units were exported, accounting for 68.13% of total production, down 2.20% from the same period in 2023.
In July 2024, 25,958 passenger cars were produced for export, an increase of 8.02% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, a total of 177,466 passenger cars were exported, equating to 53.90% of total passenger car production, up 3.72% from January to July 2023. One-ton trucks produced for export in July 2024 amounted to 61,580 units, down 1.67% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, a total of 426,255 one-ton trucks were exported, accounting for 78.27% of total one-ton truck production, down 4.47% from January to July 2023, divided as follows:
• One-ton trucks: 35,322 units (down 24.35% from January to July 2023)
• Double Cab trucks: 314,612 units (down 7.69% from January to July 2023)
• PPV trucks: 76,321 units (up 30.01% from January to July 2023)
Production for Domestic Sale
In July 2024, 37,291 units were produced for domestic sale, representing 29.87% of total production, down 40.85% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, a total of 282,348 units were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 31.87% of total production, down 37.80% from January to July 2023. Passenger cars produced for domestic sale in July 2024 totaled 20,088 units, down 24.30% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, a total of 151,803 passenger cars were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 46.10% of passenger car production, which represented a decrease of 24.30% compared to the same period in 2023. One-ton trucks produced for domestic sale in July 2024 totaled 16,258 units, down 51.65% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, a total of 118,321 one-ton trucks were produced for domestic sale, accounting for 21.73% of total one-ton truck production, marking a 49.42% decrease from January to July 2023, divided as follows:
• One-ton trucks: 53,001 units (down 31.84% from January to July 2023)
• Double Cab trucks: 46,565 units (down 56.28% from January to July 2023)
• PPV trucks: 18,755 units (down 62.22% from January to July 2023)
For passenger vehicles under 10 tons and over 10 tons produced domestically in July 2024, no production occurred. From January to July 2024, a total of 10 units were produced, down 87.80% from last year. Trucks produced in July 2024 totaled 945 units, down 67.19% from July 2023. From January to July 2024, total truck production reached 12,214 units, down 37% from January to July 2023.
Motorcycles
In July 2024, a total of 179,176 motorcycles were produced, reflecting an 8.01% decrease from July 2023, comprising 150,947 complete built units (CBU), down 11.27% from 2023, while motorcycle components (CKD) production increased by 14.52% to 28,229 units. The total motorcycle production from January to July 2024 reached 1,376,369 units, marking an 8.33% decrease from 2023, divided as follows: complete built units (CBU): 1,145,520 units (down 11.73% from 2023) and motorcycle components (CKD): 230,849 units (up 13.30% from 2023).
Sales
Domestic sales of automobiles in July 2024 totaled 46,394 units, down 2.66% from June 2024, and down 20.58% from the same month last year. This decline is attributed to stricter lending practices, particularly for pick-up trucks and freight vehicles, amid concerns over high household debt of about 91% of the country's GDP and slow economic growth at 1.5% in Q1 of 2024 due to delayed government spending plans.
Passenger and passenger inspection vehicles recorded sales of 27,736 units, equating to 59.78% of total sales, down 7.03% from the same month last year:
• Passenger vehicles with Internal Combustion Engines (ICE): 11,837 units, equating to 25.51% of total sales, down from 37.57% for the same month last year.
• Electric passenger and inspection vehicles (BEV): 6,835 units, equating to 14.73% of sales, up from 54.01% from last year.
• Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) passenger and inspection vehicles: 160 units, equating to 0.34% of total sales, up 20.30% compared to last year.
• Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) passenger and inspection vehicles: 8,904 units, representing 19.19% of total sales, up 41.29% year-on-year.

From January to July 2024, total automobile sales reached 354,421 units, declining 23.71% from the same period in 2023, with the passenger and inspection vehicles segment accounting for 212,217 units, or 59.88% of total sales, down 8.58% year-on-year:
• Passenger and inspection vehicles with Internal Combustion Engines (ICE): 94,497 units, constituting 26.66% of total sales, down 36.59% year-on-year.
• Passenger and inspection vehicles with Electric Engines (BEV): 40,343 units, or 11.38% of total sales, up from 12.75% in the same period last year.
• Passenger and inspection vehicles with Plug-in Hybrid Electric Engines (PHEV): 1,363 units, representing 0.38% of total sales, down from 6.26% year-on-year.
• Passenger and inspection vehicles with Hybrid Electric Engines (HEV): 76,014 units, accounting for 21.45% of total passenger vehicle sales, up 65.75% from the previous year.
Sales of pick-up trucks amounted to 102,748 units, a decline of 39.56% from the same period in 2023. PPV sales were recorded at 21,814 units, down 42.50%. The sales of trucks between 5 - 10 tons reached 9,657 units, decreasing by 37.38%, while other types of vehicles totaled 7,985 units, down 11.89% compared to the same period last year. Motorcycle sales totaled 1,032,091 units, down 9.84% year-on-year, with motorcycles with Ice accounting for 1,031,891 units, down by 9.78%, while BEV motorcycles accounted for 200 units, down 9.09% year-on-year.
Exports
In July 2024, the export of completed automobiles reached 83,527 units, a decrease of 6.22% from the previous month and a 22.70% decline from July 2023, driven by transportation issues to the Middle East and Europe due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, leading to reduced exports in markets across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, Central America, and South America. Breakdown of exports included:
• Pick-up trucks: 45,439 units (54.40% of total exports), down 24.68% year-on-year.
• Passenger cars with ICE: 26,288 units (31.47% of total exports), down 22.65% year-on-year.
• HEV passenger cars: 3,684 units (4.41% of total exports), an increase of 405.35% year-on-year.
• PPV: 8,116 units (9.72% of total exports), down 37.59% year-on-year.
The value of automobile exports reached 56,397.87 million baht, a decrease of 16.56% from July 2023:
• Engines: 4,047.92 million baht (down 15.22% year-on-year)
• Other automotive parts: 18,450.88 million baht (up 3.52% year-on-year)
• Automobile spare parts: 2,537.63 million baht (up 23.69% year-on-year)
Overall, the total value of automotive exports in July 2024, including engines, components, and spare parts, reached 81,434.29 million baht, down 11.71% from July 2023.
From January to July 2024, a total of 602,567 completed vehicles were exported, representing a decrease of 5.39% from the same period last year, broken down as follows:
• Ice pick-up trucks: 346,939 units, constituting 57.58% of total exports, down 7.68% year-on-year.
• Ice passenger cars: 146,449 units, accounting for 24.30% of total exports, down from last year by 21.93%
• HEV passenger cars: 31,196 units, making up 5.18% of total exports, with an increase of 490.50% year-on-year.
• PPV: 77,983 units, accounting for 12.94% of total exports, up 14.36% year-on-year.
The value of automobile exports from January to July 2024 reached 419,872.26 million baht, reflecting a 5.82% increase from the same period last year, with details as follows:
• Engines: 19,980.06 million baht, down 5.83% year-on-year
• Other automotive parts: 112,219.57 million baht, up 7.76% year-on-year
• Automobile spare parts: 15,108.74 million baht, up 12.24% year-on-year.
The total value of automotive exports from January to July 2024, including engines, components, and spare parts, reached 567,180.63 million baht, a 5.90% increase from the same period last year.
Motorcycle exports
In July 2024, 58,757 motorcycles were exported (including CBU + CKD), representing a 7.39% increase from June 2024, but a decrease of 8.53% year-on-year, with a total value of 4,624.92 million baht, down 18.72% from July 2023.
• Motorcycle parts: total value of 240.21 million baht, down 21.33% year-on-year.
• Motorcycle spare parts: total value of 209.81 million baht, up 13.83% year-on-year.
Overall, the total value of motorcycle exports in July 2024, including parts and spare parts, reached 5,074.94 million baht, down 17.88% from July 2023.
From January to July 2024, a total of 473,075 motorcycles (including CBU + CKD) were exported, indicating a 3.82% decrease compared to 2023, with a total value of 37,354.60 million baht, down 10.10% compared to last year:
