On November 26, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Theerakulnukul, President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), had the honor of inaugurating the ISV Community Day: Transformation with AI Dinner Talk held in collaboration with Amazon Web Services. This event aimed to provide knowledge, information, share experiences, and encourage the application of Generative AI technology in enhancing products for market entry, held at Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai.

Mr. Kriangkrai stated that currently, AI plays a crucial role in business operations across all sectors, such as manufacturing, marketing, services, and data centralization. This has led to the integration of digital systems within businesses, where current technologies like Generative Artificial Intelligence have shaken every business sector and are becoming the most prominent, serving as crucial support for agile business operations and enhancing overall corporate performance.

For the policy direction of the Federation of Thai Industries for the period of 2024-2026, known as ONE FTI (One Vision, One Team, One Goal), the focus will be on advancing traditional industries (First Industries) to enhance competitiveness towards new industries (Next-GEN Industries), particularly for SMEs through the 4Go policy, which includes:

1.Go Digital and AI: The FTI's digital industry group has created essential software packages under the “Digital One” project to support SMEs nationwide. This includes software for production, accounting, and various controls that help reduce costs, increase production efficiency, and lower expenses. Normally, each program is valued in the tens of thousands of baht, with multiple programs totaling hundreds of thousands. However, the price will be reduced to only 1,110 baht to make these programs accessible for SMEs, allowing them to immediately develop their capabilities. This proactive policy aims to expedite the transformation into Smart SMEs.
2.Go Innovation: The FTI collaborates with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation to establish an innovation fund called “Innovation One.” The Ministry has provided a budget of 1 billion baht, and the FTI has contributed an additional 1 billion baht, totaling 2 billion baht over a period of 3 years to support SMEs and startups in developing innovative new products and creating added value.
3.Go Global: This initiative will support SMEs in producing and selling products to international markets at standards accepted globally. If they are part of the supply chain for foreign exporters setting up production bases in Thailand, efforts will be made to ensure compliance with international standards to elevate their own standards alongside various products.
4.Go Green: This initiative will encourage SMEs to produce goods and maintain processes that are environmentally friendly, as green products are in high demand worldwide and continue to grow. Failure to adapt could result in being left behind.

This event is part of the efforts to promote the Go Digital policy of the FTI to reach SMEs effectively, assisting in their swift and efficient transition to Smart SMEs in preparation for responding to customer needs in a highly competitive market. The FTI also supports the use of AI in organizations, such as through the organization of the AI Solution for Industry EXPO 2024 to raise awareness among entrepreneurs.
