เมื่อวันที่ 4 ธันวาคม 2567 ดร. ชนะ ภูมี รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสถาบันน้ำและสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อความยั่งยืน เข้าร่วมงานสัมมนาประจำปี TBCSD 2024 “TBCSD Sustainable Business Forum 2024 : Act Now Towards a Sustainable Future” จัดโดยองค์กรธุรกิจเพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน โดยมีนายประเสริฐ บุญสัมพันธ์ ประธาน TBCSD เปิดงาน ณ โรงแรม เซ็นทารา แกรนด์เซ็นทรัล พลาซ่า ลาดพร้าว กรุงเทพฯ
การจัดงานในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อแสดงจุดยืนของการเป็นผู้นำในภาคธุรกิจไทยด้านความยั่งยืนที่ทันกระแสการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลกและร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการขับเคลื่อนเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในมิติต่างๆ สอดคล้องกับนโยบายสำคัญของประเทศให้ก้าวไปสู่สังคมคาร์บอนต่ำและการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน
ภายในงาน ดร.ชนะ ได้ร่วมเป็นวิทยากรในหัวข้อ "เทรนด์ Net Zero กับโอกาสการลงทุนที่ยั่งยืนขององค์กรภาคธุรกิจไทย" โดยได้นำเสนอนโยบายของสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย ภายใต้นโยบาย "One FTI" ซึ่งมุ่งส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการภาคอุตสาหกรรมให้ก้าวสู่การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่อุตสาหกรรมใหม่ และการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมสู่ความยั่งยืน
โดยอาศัยนวัตกรรม เทคโนโลยี การพัฒนาบุคลากรเพื่อตอบโจทย์ภาคอุตสาหกรรม
นอกจากนี้ ดร.ชนะ ยังได้นำเสนอแนวคิดการพัฒนาโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม หรือ Green Infrastructure ซึ่งประกอบด้วยการพัฒนาระบบส่งและระบบจำหน่ายไฟฟ้าให้มีความทันสมัย (Grid Modernization) ระบบกักเก็บพลังงาน (Energy Storage) การนำเอาเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลมาใช้เพื่อปรับเปลี่ยนรูปแบบการทำงาน หรือกระบวนการทำงาน (Digitalization) และเทคโนโลยีการดักจับก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ การใช้ประโยชน์และการกักเก็บคาร์บอน หรือ CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) ซึ่งถือเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญที่จะช่วยเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของผู้ประกอบการภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทย ให้ก้าวเข้าสู่เป้าหมายการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero) อย่างยั่งยืน
On December 4, 2024, Dr. Chana Poomi, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and President of the Water and Environment Institute for Sustainability, participated in the annual seminar TBCSD 2024 “TBCSD Sustainable Business Forum 2024: Act Now Towards a Sustainable Future,” organized by the Business Council for Sustainable Development, with Mr. Prasert Boonsang, Chairman of TBCSD, presiding over the event at Centara Grand Central Plaza Ladprao, Bangkok.
The purpose of this event was to demonstrate a commitment to leading the Thai business sector in sustainability, aligning with global changes and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals in various dimensions, consistent with the country’s significant policies aimed at transitioning to a low-carbon society and sustainable development.
During the event, Dr. Chana served as a speaker on the topic "Net Zero Trends and Sustainable Investment Opportunities for Thai Business Organizations," where he presented the policies of the Federation of Thai Industries under the "One FTI" initiative aimed at promoting and supporting industrial operators to transition to new industry standards and elevate the industry towards sustainability.
This initiative relies on innovations, technology, and workforce development to address the needs of the industrial sector.
Additionally, Dr. Chana presented the concept of environmentally friendly infrastructure, or Green Infrastructure, which includes modernizing transmission and distribution systems (Grid Modernization), energy storage systems (Energy Storage), leveraging digital technology to transform work processes (Digitalization), and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS). These tools are essential for enhancing the capacity of Thai industrial operators to achieve sustainable net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.
