เมื่อวันที่ 26 พฤษภาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ให้การต้อนรับ Mr. Fukuya Iino ผู้แทนองค์การอุตสาหกรรมแห่งสหประชาชาติ (United Nations Industrial Development Organization – UNIDO) ประจำประเทศไทย เนื่องในโอกาสเข้ารับตำแหน่งอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีนายวิเชาวน์ รักพงษ์ไพโรจน์ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนจากสถาบันน้ำและสิ่งแวดล้อมเพื่อความยั่งยืน และจากสถาบันการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ร่วมให้การต้อนรับ ณ ห้องมงคลสุธี ส.อ.ท.
โอกาสนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่าง ส.อ.ท. และ UNIDO เพื่อยกระดับภาคอุตสาหกรรมของไทยให้สอดคล้องกับแนวโน้มการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในระดับสากล ผ่านโครงการต่างๆ ของ UNIDO โดยเฉพาะด้านนวัตกรรมที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม (Eco-innovation) การพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมสู่สังคมคาร์บอนต่ำ การใช้พลังงานสะอาด การส่งเสริมการผลิตที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม
(Green Manufacturing) รวมถึงการถ่ายทอดเทคโนโลยี เพื่อยกระดับศักยภาพของผู้ประกอบการไทย
ทั้งนี้ ส.อ.ท. ให้ความสนใจร่วมมือกับ UNIDO ด้านการให้ความช่วยเหลือผู้ประกอบการและเกษตรกรไทย เพื่อรับมือกับผลกระทบจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ผ่านการสนับสนุนองค์ความรู้ เทคโนโลยี และแนวทางการปรับตัวที่ยั่งยืน
การเข้าพบในครั้งนี้ สะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของ UNIDO ในการสร้างความร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชนไทย โดยเฉพาะ ส.อ.ท. เพื่อร่วมขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมไทยให้เติบโตอย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม และสามารถแข่งขันได้อย่างยั่งยืนในเวทีโลก
On May 26, 2025, Mr. Kiangkray Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), welcomed Mr. Fukuya Iino, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Representative in Thailand, on the occasion of his official appointment. He was accompanied by Mr. Wichao Rakphongphairoj, Vice Chairman of FTI, along with representatives from the Water and Environment Institute for Sustainability and the Climate Change Institute, who joined in the welcome at the Mongkolsuthee Room of FTI.
During this meeting, both parties discussed ways to promote cooperation between FTI and UNIDO to enhance the Thai industrial sector in line with international sustainable development trends through various UNIDO projects, particularly in areas such as eco-innovation, the development of low-carbon industries, the use of clean energy, and the promotion of environmentally friendly manufacturing (Green Manufacturing), as well as technology transfer to enhance the capabilities of Thai entrepreneurs.
FTI expressed its interest in collaborating with UNIDO to provide support for Thai entrepreneurs and farmers in coping with the impacts of climate change through the provision of knowledge, technology, and sustainable adaptation strategies.
This meeting reflects UNIDO's commitment to fostering collaboration with the Thai private sector, particularly FTI, to drive the growth of the Thai industry in an efficient, environmentally friendly manner, and to remain competitive sustainably on the global stage.
