เมื่อวันที่ 29 กรกฎาคม 2568 ดร.ภก. นิลสุวรรณ ลีลารัศมี รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะอนุกรรมการขับเคลื่อนการดำเนินงานภายในประเทศเพื่อเข้าเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (OECD) ครั้งที่ 1/2568 ณ ห้องประชุมหลานหลวง ชั้น 1 โรงแรมรอยัลปริ๊นเซส หลานหลวง
การประชุมครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพิจารณาแนวทางการดำเนินงานของประเทศไทยในการเตรียมความพร้อมเข้าสู่การเป็นสมาชิก OECD อย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีการหารือในหลายประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ การจัดทำข้อตกลงเบื้องต้น (Initial Memorandum) ภายใต้การบูรณาการความร่วมมือของหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง แนวทางการดำเนินงานร่วมกันระหว่างหน่วยงานในกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก บทบาทของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียในภาคส่วนต่าง ๆ และการจัดทำแผนประชาสัมพันธ์เพื่อสร้างความเข้าใจต่อสาธารณชน
ปัจจุบัน ประเทศไทยอยู่ในกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD และอยู่ระหว่างการจัดทำข้อตกลงเบื้องต้นให้แล้วเสร็จภายในปี 2568 เพื่อเสนอต่อ OECD และรับการประเมินทางเทคนิคเชิงลึกร่วมกับคณะกรรมการ OECD ต่อไป ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยได้ตั้งเป้าหมายเข้าเป็นสมาชิกโดยสมบูรณ์ภายในปี 2573
การเข้าร่วมประชุมของ ส.อ.ท. ในครั้งนี้สะท้อนบทบาทสำคัญของภาคเอกชนในการสนับสนุนการยกระดับมาตรฐานของประเทศให้สอดคล้องกับหลักเกณฑ์ของ OECD และเชื่อมโยงการพัฒนาประเทศในหลายมิติสู่ระดับสากล
On July 29, 2025, Dr. Pharm. Nilsuwan Leelarathamee, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in the first sub-committee meeting on domestic initiatives aimed at Thailand's membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) held at the Lanluang Meeting Room, 1st Floor, Royal Princess Hotel Lanluang.
The purpose of this meeting was to consider the operational guidelines for Thailand's official readiness to become an OECD member, discussing several key issues such as the formulation of an Initial Memorandum under the integration of cooperation among relevant agencies, collaborative operational guidelines among agencies in the membership process, the roles of stakeholders in various sectors, and the development of a public relations plan to enhance public understanding.
Currently, Thailand is in the process of applying for OECD membership and is in the process of finalizing the Initial Memorandum by 2025 to be submitted to the OECD for a technical assessment along with the OECD committees. Thailand aims to achieve full membership by 2030.
The participation of FTI in this meeting reflects the important role of the private sector in supporting the enhancement of national standards to align with OECD principles and connecting the country's development in various dimensions to international standards.
