เมื่อวันที่ 17 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) พร้อมด้วยนายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และผู้แทนจากสภาหอการค้าแห่งประเทศไทย รวมทั้งสมาคมธนาคารไทย เป็นผู้แทนภาคเอกชนไทย เดินทางเข้าร่วมประชุม Business at OECD (BIAC) General Assembly 2025 ณ สำนักงานองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือและการพัฒนาทางเศรษฐกิจ (OECD) กรุงปารีส ประเทศฝรั่งเศส
ในช่วงของการประชุม Consultation with OECD Leadership and Ambassadors นายเกรียงไกร เป็นผู้แทนภาคเอกชนไทยในการกล่าวถึงบทบาทของ กกร. ในฐานะผู้สังเกตการณ์ของ Business at OECD ซึ่งการประชุม Annual Consultation with OECD Ambassadors and Leadership และ Business at OECD (BIAC) General Assembly เป็นการประชุมประจำปีที่ผู้นำธุรกิจนานาชาติ เครือข่ายภาคเอกชนจากประเทศสมาชิก OECD (Business at OECD : BIAC) และเอกอัครราชทูตของ OECD ได้เข้าร่วมหารือถึงการกำหนดวาระการดำเนินงานของภาคธุรกิจในกระบวนการกำหนดนโยบายของ OECD โดยทาง BIAC จะทำการเสนอข้อเสนอแนะต่อการกำหนดนโนบายที่เกี่ยวข้องต่อภาคธุรกิจ OECD เพื่อให้ตอบโจทย์กับประเด็นสำคัญสำหรับทั้งภาคธุรกิจและสังคม
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยอยู่ระหว่างกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก (Accession Process) เพื่อเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกของ OECD ซึ่งการเข้าร่วมประชุมดังกล่าว เป็นโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนทัศนะและประสบการณ์ของประเทศไทยในการดำเนินธุรกิจที่ได้มาตรฐานสากลต่อ OECD เพื่อเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการผลักดันการเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิก OECD ของประเทศไทย
On February 17, 2025, Mr. Kiangsak Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and in his capacity as Chairman of the Joint Private Sector Committee of the three institutions (JPCS), along with Mr. Chatchai Panichchiew, Vice Chairman of the FTI, and representatives from the Thai Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Thai Bankers' Association, represented the Thai private sector at the Business at OECD (BIAC) General Assembly 2025 held at the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.
During the Consultation with OECD Leadership and Ambassadors, Mr. Kiangsak represented the Thai private sector in addressing the role of JPCS as an observer of Business at OECD. This Annual Consultation with OECD Ambassadors and Leadership and the Business at OECD (BIAC) General Assembly are annual meetings where international business leaders, private sector networks from OECD member countries (Business at OECD: BIAC), and OECD ambassadors come together to discuss the agenda for business operations within the OECD policy-making process. BIAC will propose recommendations for policy development relevant to the business sector within OECD to address key issues for both the business sector and society.
Furthermore, Thailand is in the process of accession to become a member of OECD. Participation in this meeting provides an opportunity to exchange views and experiences of Thailand's adherence to international business standards with the OECD as part of the efforts to support Thailand's accession to OECD membership.
