On January 25, 2024, the Food and Beverage Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), in collaboration with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok (Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok: JCC), organized a seminar on the topic “Latest trends of Health Food Business,” featuring senior executives from JCC, including Mr. Shigeki Maeda, Chairman of the FDC Committee of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok, as well as a special address by Mr. Kriangkrai Thianukool, President of FTI, who opened the event at FTI.
Currently, the health-conscious trend is being embraced by consumers worldwide, including both younger generations and the elderly. Many countries are entering an aging society, resulting in an increased emphasis on health. This seminar was held to provide food product entrepreneurs with knowledge that can be leveraged for development and enhancement of health food production by integrating innovations and technologies as tools to drive the food industry towards future food production.
Not only does this initiative promote adjustments among food industry entrepreneurs to align with consumer behavior, but FTI and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce also recognize the importance of sustainability in the food supply chain, as well as the necessity for food production processes that ensure health safety.
