วันที่ 28 กุมภาพันธ์ 2567 นายวิวรรธน์ เหมมณฑารพ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ได้รับเกียรติร่วมเป็นวิทยากรเวทีสัมมนาเรื่อง “Identify and Capture the Transitional Opportunities in Thailand” ในงานสัมมนาแห่งปี “Rethink Sustainability: A Call to Action for Thailand” เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ทุกภาคส่วนหันมาให้ความสำคัญ ปรับตัวและเตรียมรับมือกับโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจและการลงทุนจากกระแสการเปลี่ยนแปลงระดับโลกเพื่อมุ่งสู่ความยั่งยืน ณ โรงแรมพูลแมน คิง เพาเวอร์ กรุงเทพ
นายวิวรรธน์ ได้นำเสนอนโยบาย ส.อ.ท. ที่เร่งยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมเดิมและอุตสาหกรรมใหม่ เพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน โดย ส.อ.ท. ขับเคลื่อน BCG สู่เป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน (SDGs) เพื่อเปลี่ยนความกดดันทางสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นโอกาสทางธุรกิจ รวมทั้ง เตรียมความพร้อมให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมรับมือกับปัญหาการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ (Climate change) เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ และลดความสูญเสียในการใช้พลังงาน เปลี่ยนแหล่งพลังงานและเพิ่มการผลิตพลังงานไฟฟ้าจากแหล่งพลังงานคาร์บอนต่ำ
On February 28, 2024, Mr. Wiwat Hemmaphan, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), was honored to be a speaker at the seminar titled “Identify and Capture the Transitional Opportunities in Thailand” at the annual seminar “Rethink Sustainability: A Call to Action for Thailand.” The seminar aimed to encourage all sectors to prioritize, adapt, and prepare for economic and investment opportunities arising from global changes in pursuit of sustainability at Pullman King Power Bangkok Hotel.
Mr. Wiwat presented FTI's policies that aim to elevate both existing and new industries to enhance competitiveness. FTI is driving the BCG framework towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to turn environmental pressures into business opportunities, while also preparing the industrial sector to tackle climate change challenges, improve efficiency, and reduce energy waste, as well as shift energy sources and increase electricity production from low-carbon energy sources.
