เมื่อวันที่ 2 กรกฎาคม 2569 สถาบันนวัตกรรมเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม (INNO) กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมผู้ผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ ภายใต้สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ร่วมกับคณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล และสำนักงานสภานโยบายการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรมแห่งชาติ (สอวช.) ร่วมกันหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือเชิงลึก เพื่อพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์จากความต้องการหน้างานจริงของแพทย์และผู้ป่วย ณ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ศิริราชพยาบาล มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล
นายสุธี ไตรวิวัฒน์วงศ์ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมผู้ผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ เปิดเผยว่า การบูรณาการความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้ ครอบคลุมทั้งการร่วมพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์นวัตกรรม เช่น เตียงผู้ป่วยคุณภาพสูง อุปกรณ์ช่วยยก และเครื่องธาราบำบัด รวมถึงการปรับเปลี่ยนโมเดลธุรกิจทางการแพทย์ และการพัฒนาหลักสูตรวิชาการร่วมกับภาควิชาสรีรวิทยา เพื่อยกระดับทักษะวิศวกรไทยในภาคอุตสาหกรรม ให้สามารถออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ได้สอดคล้องกับการใช้งานจริงมากยิ่งขึ้น
ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นมิติใหม่ในการสร้างระบบนิเวศนวัตกรรมการแพทย์ไทยที่ยั่งยืน ผ่านการเชื่อมโยงการทำงานร่วมกันอย่างเป็นระบบระหว่างผู้ใช้ ผู้ผลิต และผู้กำหนดนโยบาย อีกทั้งยังเป็นโอกาสสำคัญสำหรับผู้ประกอบการในอุตสาหกรรมชิ้นส่วนและอะไหล่ยานยนต์ที่ต้องการปรับตัว (Parts Transformation) สู่การผลิตเครื่องมือแพทย์ โดยสามารถต่อยอดองค์ความรู้และทักษะทางวิศวกรรมขั้นสูงจากความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้ เพื่อนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการยกระดับสายการผลิตสู่อุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายใหม่
การบูรณาการความร่วมมือดังกล่าว จะช่วยขับเคลื่อนให้เกิดการนำนวัตกรรมฝีมือคนไทยไปใช้งานได้จริงในสถานพยาบาลชั้นนำ ลดอุปสรรคเชิงโครงสร้าง และผลักดันให้อุตสาหกรรมเครื่องมือแพทย์ของประเทศเติบโตและสามารถแข่งขันได้ในระดับสากลต่อไป
On July 2, 2026, the Industrial Innovation Institute (INNO) of the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry Group, under the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), together with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Office (NSRI), held discussions on deep cooperation to develop medical technology based on the actual needs of doctors and patients at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
Mr. Sutee Traivivatwong, Chairman of the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry Group, revealed that the integration of cooperation in this instance encompasses collaborative development of innovative products such as high-quality hospital beds, lifting devices, and therapeutic machines, as well as adapting medical business models and developing academic courses in partnership with the Department of Physiology to upgrade the skills of Thai engineers in the industry, enabling them to design products that are more aligned with practical usage.
This collaboration marks a new dimension in creating a sustainable Thai medical innovation ecosystem through systematic connectivity between users, producers, and policymakers. Furthermore, it presents a significant opportunity for entrepreneurs in the parts and automotive accessory industry seeking to adapt (Parts Transformation) towards medical device manufacturing, allowing them to leverage advanced engineering knowledge and skills gained from this collaboration to upgrade their production lines to new target industries.
The integration of cooperation will help drive the practical application of innovations created by Thais in leading healthcare institutions, reducing structural obstacles, and pushing the country's medical device industry to grow and remain competitive at the international level.
