เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 20 กุมภาพันธ์ 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ในนามประธานคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน (กกร.) และนายอุเดด สุวันนะวง ประธานสภาการค้าและอุตสาหกรรมแห่งชาติลาว ลงนามบันทึกความเข้าใจร่วมกันระหว่างคณะกรรมการร่วมภาคเอกชน 3 สถาบัน กับสภาการค้า และอุตสาหกรรมแห่งชาติลาว (Memorandum Of Understanding Between The Joint Standing Committee On Commerce, Industry And Banking Of Thailand (JSCCIB) And Lao National Chamber Of Commerce And Industry (LNCCI))
การลงนาม MOU ในครั้งนี้ จัดขึ้นในโอกาสที่นายสอนไซ สีพันดอน นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว เดินทางเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ โดยมีนางสาวแพทองธาร ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรีของไทย และนายสอนไซ สีพันดอน นายกรัฐมนตรีสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาว ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธี ณ ตึกสันติไมตรี (หลังใน) ทำเนียบรัฐบาล
การลงนาม MOU มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางธุรกิจและพัฒนาความร่วมมือด้านการค้าและการลงทุน โดยเอกชนทั้งสองฝ่ายจะสนับสนุนในการจัดกิจกรรรมต่างๆ ส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ทางการค้าและขยายโอกาสทางธุรกิจระหว่างกัน ส่งเสริมให้นักธุรกิจของทั้งสองประเทศเข้าร่วมงานแสดงสินค้าและนิทรรศการที่จะจัดขึ้นทั้งในไทย และสปป.ลาว โดยเฉพาะงานมหกรรมพืชสวนโลกในปี 2569 รวมถึงการแสดงเจตจำนงในการจัดตั้งคณะกรรมการร่วมไทย-สปป.ลาว เพื่อดำเนินการกิจกรรมต่างๆ ตามข้อตกลงที่จะมีขึ้นด้วย
การลงนามในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือของภาคเอกชนให้มีความใกล้ชิดและแน่นแฟ้นมากยิ่งขึ้น และจะเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการช่วยส่งเสริมการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจไทย-สปป.ลาว อย่างยั่งยืน
On Thursday, February 20, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukool, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) in his capacity as Chairman of the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking of Thailand (JSCCIB), and Mr. Uddet Suwannavong, Chairman of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking of Thailand (JSCCIB) and the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI).
The signing of this MOU took place during the official visit of Mr. Sonthong Sayaphone, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, to Thailand, with Ms. Phaethongthar Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, and Mr. Sonthong Sayaphone, Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, witnessing the ceremony at the Santimaitri Building (Inner) of the Government House.
The MOU aims to strengthen business relations and develop cooperation in trade and investment, whereby both private sectors will support various activities to promote trade relations and expand business opportunities between them. They will encourage entrepreneurs from both countries to participate in trade shows and exhibitions held in Thailand and the Lao PDR, particularly the World Horticultural Expo in 2026, and express their intention to establish a Thailand-Laos Joint Committee to carry out activities according to the agreements to be made.
This signing represents a significant step in promoting closer and stronger cooperation between the private sectors and will contribute to the sustainable economic growth of Thailand and the Lao PDR.
