เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2568 สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) โดยสถาบันอุตสาหกรรมเพื่อการเกษตร ร่วมกับสำนักงานการรับรองไม้เศรษฐกิจไทย (TFCC) ได้จัดพิธีมอบใบรับรองมาตรฐาน PEFC Chain of Custody (PEFC CoC) แก่บริษัท RIVERPRO PULP AND PAPER CO., LTD. เพื่อแสดงความยินดีและเชิดชูเกียรติให้แก่ผู้ประกอบการที่มุ่งมั่นในการดำเนินธุรกิจบนพื้นฐานของความรับผิดชอบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมและสังคม โดยมีนายธนารักษ์ พงษ์เภตรา รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานสถาบันฯ กล่าวเปิดงาน ณ ลานกิจกรรมไทยเบฟ ชั้น 10 ส.อ.ท.
นายธนารักษ์ พงษ์เภตรา ได้เน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทของภาคอุตสาหกรรมในการร่วมขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจควบคู่ไปกับการรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อม สอดคล้องกับนโยบายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของประเทศและพันธสัญญาระดับโลกว่าด้วยการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกและปกป้องทรัพยากรป่าไม้
ในโอกาสนี้ นายอัครินทร์ วงศ์อภิรัตน์ ประธานสำนักงานการรับรองไม้เศรษฐกิจไทย (TFCC) ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรผู้แทนระดับประเทศของ PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) ได้กล่าวแสดงความยินดี พร้อมทั้งนำเสนอวิสัยทัศน์เกี่ยวกับความสำคัญของระบบการตรวจสอบย้อนกลับในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Chain of Custody) ที่จะช่วยสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับผู้บริโภคในตลาดโลก โดยเฉพาะในยุโรปที่เริ่มใช้กฎระเบียบด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมที่เข้มงวดมากขึ้น เช่น ข้อบังคับ EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation)
นอกจากนี้ ในช่วงพิธีการ ยังได้รับเกียรติจากนายสุเมธ หุตินทรวงศ์ ผู้จัดการฝ่ายการพาณิชย์ บริษัท Bureau Veritas Thailand หน่วยรับรองอิสระระดับสากล เป็นผู้แทนมอบใบรับรอง PEFC CoC อย่างเป็นทางการให้แก่บริษัท RIVERPRO PULP AND PAPER CO., LTD. ซึ่งนับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการยกระดับมาตรฐานการจัดการห่วงโซ่อุปทานที่สอดคล้องกับหลักการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ
โอกาสนี้ ดร.สัมฤทธิ์ ยิบยินธรรม กรรมการผู้จัดการ กลุ่มบริษัท Riverpro Group ได้กล่าวแสดงความขอบคุณต่อทุกภาคส่วนที่ให้การสนับสนุน พร้อมแสดงวิสัยทัศน์ขององค์กรในการดำเนินธุรกิจที่มุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมเยื่อกระดาษและบรรจุภัณฑ์อย่างรับผิดชอบ โดยผสานการเจริญเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจเข้ากับการดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อมและสังคม เพื่อขับเคลื่อนสู่เป้าหมาย “ธุรกิจเติบโต สิ่งแวดล้อมยั่งยืน”
พิธีในครั้งนี้ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งความร่วมมือสำคัญระหว่างภาคเอกชน หน่วยงานรับรอง และองค์กรภาคอุตสาหกรรม ที่มุ่งสร้างมาตรฐานและยกระดับประเทศไทยให้ก้าวสู่การเป็นผู้นำด้านอุตสาหกรรมสีเขียวในระดับสากล
On Friday, June 6, 2025, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), through the Institute of Industrial Agriculture in collaboration with the Thai Forest Certification Committee (TFCC), held a ceremony to present the PEFC Chain of Custody (PEFC CoC) certification to RIVERPRO PULP AND PAPER CO., LTD., in recognition and honor of operators committed to conducting business based on environmental and social responsibility. The event was inaugurated by Mr. Thanarak Phongphetra, Vice President of FTI and President of the Institute, at the Thai Bev Activity Area, 10th floor of FTI.
Mr. Thanarak Phongphetra emphasized the role of the industrial sector in driving the economy alongside environmental preservation, in line with the country's sustainable development policy and global commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect forest resources.
On this occasion, Mr. Akarin Wongapirat, President of the Thai Forest Certification Committee (TFCC), which serves as the national representative organization of PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), expressed his congratulations and presented insights on the importance of the Chain of Custody system in the supply chain, which helps build consumer confidence in global markets, particularly in Europe, where stricter environmental regulations are being implemented, such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Additionally, during the ceremony, Mr. Sumet Hutintrawong, Commercial Manager of Bureau Veritas Thailand, an international independent certification body, honored the occasion by officially presenting the PEFC CoC certificate to RIVERPRO PULP AND PAPER CO., LTD., marking another significant step towards enhancing supply chain management standards in accordance with principles of natural resource conservation.
On this occasion, Dr. Samrit Yipintham, Managing Director of Riverpro Group, expressed his gratitude to all sectors for their support and shared the organization's vision of conducting business that focuses on the responsible development of the pulp and paper and packaging industries, integrating economic growth with environmental and social care to achieve the goal of “Business Growth, Sustainable Environment.”
This ceremony represents another important collaboration between the private sector, certification agencies, and industrial organizations, aiming to establish standards and elevate Thailand's position as a leader in the global green industry.
