เมื่อวันที่ 30 มิถุนายน 2568 สถาบันฮาลาล มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และคณะวิทยาการจัดการ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏจันทรเกษม ร่วมลงนามในข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในโครงการจัดทำข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบายและแนวทางดำเนินการส่งเสริมสินค้าและบริการฮาลาลไทยสู่ตลาดโลก โดยมีนายเวทิต โชควัฒนา รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ พร้อมผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สิทธิ วงศ์ทองคำ คณบดีคณะวิทยาการจัดการ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏจันทรเกษม และผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.อัสมัน แตอาลี ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันฮาลาล มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ เป็นผู้แทนในการลงนาม ณ ห้อง PTT GROUP (1012) ชั้น 10 ส.อ.ท.
ด้านนายกฤษฎา ประเสริฐสุโข ประธานคณะทำงานส่งเสริมธุรกิจอาเซียนใต้ ภายใต้คณะกรรมการส่งเสริมธุรกิจภูมิภาคอาเซียน สายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ ได้รายงานวัตถุประสงค์ความร่วมมือ พร้อมด้วยนายกริช อึ้งวิฑูรย์สถิตย์ ประธานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมธุรกิจภูมิภาคอาเซียน สายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ ได้ร่วมกล่าวแสดงความยินดี และมีคณะกรรมการ พร้อมผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐ และภาควิชาการเข้าร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน
ความร่วมมือของทั้ง 3 องค์กรนี้ มุ่งเน้นที่จะทำการศึกษาเพื่อวิเคราะห์สถานการณ์ ปัญหา และข้อจำกัดของอุตสาหกรรมฮาลาลไทย อันนำไปสู่การพัฒนาข้อเสนอเชิงนโยบายและแนวทางการดำเนินงานที่เป็นรูปธรรม ตลอดจนสามารถตอบสนองต่อความท้าทายในการพัฒนาสินค้าและบริการฮาลาลไทยสู่ตลาดโลกได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
ทั้งนี้ เศรษฐกิจฮาลาลเป็นตลาดหนึ่งที่มีการเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วในระดับโลก โดยในปี 2567 มีมูลค่าตลาดรวมประมาณ 2.3 ล้านล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ และคาดการณ์ว่าจะเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 3.5 ล้านล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐภายในปี 2571 ด้วยอัตราการเติบโตเฉลี่ยร้อยละ 10-12 ต่อปี และเมื่อมองถึงศักยภาพของประเทศไทยแล้ว ถือว่ามีความโดดเด่นในการก้าวสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางการผลิตและส่งออกสินค้าฮาลาล เนื่องจากมีความได้เปรียบในด้านวัตถุดิบคุณภาพสูง แรงงานที่มีทักษะ มาตรฐานการผลิตที่เป็นที่ยอมรับ ตลอดจนความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม ที่ตอบโจทย์ความต้องการของตลาดมุสลิม
การลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือทางวิชาการร่วมกันในครั้งนี้ จะนำไปสู่ความร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมสินค้าและบริการฮาลาลของประเทศร่วมกันต่อไป
On June 30, 2025, the Halal Institute of Prince of Songkla University and the Faculty of Management Science of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University signed an academic cooperation agreement to develop policy proposals and operational guidelines to promote Thai halal products and services to the global market. The signing was attended by Mr. Vetith Chokwattana, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Head of the ASEAN and Logistics Division, alongside Assistant Professor Dr. Sitti Wongthongkam, Dean of the Faculty of Management Science of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University, and Assistant Professor Dr. Asman Taali, Director of the Halal Institute of Prince of Songkla University, who represented their respective institutions at the signing ceremony held at the PTT GROUP Room (1012) on the 10th floor of FTI.
Mr. Kritsada Prasertsukho, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Promoting Southern ASEAN Business under the ASEAN Regional Business Promotion Committee, reported the objectives of the cooperation. Mr. Krits Aungwithunrat, Chairman of the ASEAN Regional Business Promotion Committee, also expressed his congratulations, with committee members and representatives from government agencies and academia present as witnesses.
The collaboration among these three organizations aims to study and analyze the situation, problems, and limitations of the Thai halal industry, leading to the development of tangible policy proposals and operational guidelines to effectively respond to challenges in developing Thai halal products and services for the global market.
Furthermore, the halal economy represents a rapidly growing market globally, with an estimated market value of approximately 2.3 trillion USD in 2024, projected to increase to 3.5 trillion USD by 2028, with an average growth rate of 10-12% per year. Considering Thailand's potential, it stands out as a center for halal product manufacturing and exports, benefiting from high-quality raw materials, skilled labor, recognized production standards, and cultural diversity that meets the needs of the Muslim market.
The signing of this memorandum of academic cooperation will lead to joint efforts to develop the halal products and services industry in the country.
