เมื่อวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม 2568 นายอภิชิต ประสพรัตน์ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการ ส.อ.ท. ให้การต้อนรับศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ แพทย์หญิงสมศรี เผ่าสวัสดิ์ ประธานสมาพันธ์เครือข่ายแห่งชาติเพื่อสังคมไทยปลอดบุหรี่ และคณะฯ เพื่อหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือในการส่งเสริมและรณรงค์ให้สังคมไทยปลอดบุหรี่และบุหรี่ไฟฟ้า ณ ห้องประชุม PTT Group ชั้น 10 ส.อ.ท.
ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางการดำเนินงานร่วมกันในการสร้างสังคมปลอดบุหรี่และบุหรี่ไฟฟ้า โดยเห็นพ้องถึงผลกระทบของบุหรี่และบุหรี่ไฟฟ้าต่อสุขภาพของแรงงานและประชาชนทั่วไป ซึ่งไม่เพียงก่อให้เกิดปัญหาด้านสุขภาพ แต่ยังส่งผลต่อประสิทธิภาพแรงงาน คุณภาพชีวิต และต้นทุนทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ
ในโอกาสนี้ ส.อ.ท. และสมาพันธ์ฯ เห็นชอบร่วมกันในการขับเคลื่อนและรณรงค์ให้สถานประกอบการปลอดบุหรี่และบุหรี่ไฟฟ้า เพื่อสร้างสิ่งแวดล้อมการทำงานที่ดี ส่งเสริมให้แรงงานลดและเลิกสูบบุหรี่ รวมถึงสร้างวัฒนธรรมองค์กรสุขภาวะในภาคอุตสาหกรรม เพื่อให้ภาคการผลิตไทยเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน ควบคู่กับสุขภาวะของแรงงาน
On October 16, 2025, Mr. Apichit Prasoprat, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with the FTI Board of Directors, welcomed Professor Dr. Somsee Phasawat, President of the National Network Federation for a Smoke-Free Thailand, and her team to discuss cooperation in promoting and campaigning for a smoke-free society in Thailand at the PTT Group conference room, 10th floor, FTI.
Both parties discussed collaborative work plans to create a smoke-free society, agreeing on the impacts of tobacco and electronic cigarettes on the health of workers and the general public, which not only lead to health problems but also affect labor productivity, quality of life, and the economic costs of the country.
On this occasion, the FTI and the Federation jointly agreed to drive and campaign for smoke-free and electronic cigarette-free workplaces, aiming to create a better working environment, encourage workers to reduce and quit smoking, and establish a wellness culture in the industrial sector to ensure that the Thai manufacturing sector grows sustainably alongside the health of its workforce.
