เมื่อวันที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2568 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) ให้การต้อนรับ นายอับดุรเราะห์มาน อับดุลอะซีซ อัลซุฮัยบานี เอกอัครราชทูตราชอาณาจักรซาอุดีอาระเบียประจำประเทศไทย และ Mr. Osama Kokandy ประธานสภาธุรกิจซาอุดีอาระเบีย–ไทย โดยมี นายกฤษณ์ อิ่มแสง เลขาธิการ ส.อ.ท. นายวิวรรธน์ เหมมณฑารพ และนายนาวา จันทนสุรคน รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมในการหารือ ณ ห้องมงคลสุธี ส.อ.ท.
การประชุมครั้งนี้มุ่งส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างสภาธุรกิจซาอุดีอาระเบีย–ไทย และสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นพ้องที่จะผลักดันความร่วมมือในด้านการค้า การลงทุน และอุตสาหกรรมร่วมกัน ซึ่งครอบคลุมการแลกเปลี่ยนเทคโนโลยี และการยกระดับความร่วมมือในสาขาที่มีศักยภาพ ได้แก่ ความมั่นคงทางอาหาร (Food Security) ชิ้นส่วนยานยนต์ (Automotive Parts) และนวัตกรรมสมัยใหม่
ฝ่ายซาอุดีอาระเบียได้เน้นย้ำถึงนโยบายเปิดรับการลงทุนจากต่างชาติ พร้อมสิทธิประโยชน์ด้านภาษีและมาตรการสนับสนุนจากภาครัฐ รวมถึงการให้สิทธิเทียบเท่านักลงทุนท้องถิ่น เพื่อเชิญชวนผู้ประกอบการไทยเข้าไปลงทุนในประเทศ โดยยืนยันความพร้อมในการให้ข้อมูลและอำนวยความสะดวกแก่ภาคธุรกิจไทยอย่างเต็มที่
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้หารือถึงความเป็นไปได้ในการแลกเปลี่ยนคณะผู้แทน การจัดกิจกรรมจับคู่ธุรกิจ (Business Matching) และการเชื่อมโยงความร่วมมือภาคเอกชนอย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อยกระดับความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจระหว่างไทยและซาอุดีอาระเบีย
On October 21, 2025, Mr. Kriangkrai Thiennukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), welcomed Mr. Abdurrahman Abdulaziz Al-Suhaibani, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Thailand, and Mr. Osama Kokandy, Chairman of the Saudi-Thai Business Council. Mr. Kritsana Imsang, Secretary-General of FTI, Mr. Wiwat Hemmantara, and Mr. Nava Chattanusurakorn, Vice Chairmen of FTI, participated in the discussion at the Mongkolsuthee Room, FTI.
This meeting aimed to promote cooperation between the Saudi-Thai Business Council and the Federation of Thai Industries. Both parties agreed to push for collaboration in trade, investment, and industry, covering technology exchange and enhancement of cooperation in potential areas such as Food Security, Automotive Parts, and modern innovations.
The Saudi side emphasized its policy of openness to foreign investment, providing tax benefits and support measures from the government, as well as granting equivalent rights to local investors to encourage Thai entrepreneurs to invest in the country, confirming their readiness to provide information and facilitate Thai businesses fully.
Additionally, both parties discussed the possibility of exchanging delegation visits, organizing business matching events, and continuously linking private sector cooperation to elevate the economic relationship between Thailand and Saudi Arabia.
