เมื่อวันที่ 16 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายบุญหาญ อู่อุดมยิ่ง รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสถาบันนวัตกรรมเพื่ออุตสาหกรรม (INNO) เป็นผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมงานประกาศเจตจำนงความร่วมมือเพื่อขับเคลื่อนการทูตวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรม และการประชุมหารือกับเอกอัครราชทูตในประเทศเป้าหมาย ร่วมกับกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ กระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) และสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการลงทุน (BOI) เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรม ภายใต้แนวคิด “Science for Diplomacy, Diplomacy for Science” ณ วิเทศสโมสร กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ภายในงานมีการประกาศเจตจำนงความร่วมมือระหว่างหน่วยงานภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนในการขับเคลื่อนวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรม เพื่อเสริมสร้างขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันของประเทศ พร้อมทั้งการหารือร่วมกับเอกอัครราชทูตจากประเทศเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ ออสเตรเลีย เยอรมนี ญี่ปุ่น สหรัฐอาหรับเอมิเรตส์ อิสราเอล และซาอุดีอาระเบีย เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนโอกาสและแนวทางความร่วมมือด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัย และนวัตกรรมในอนาคต
ที่ประชุมได้หารือแนวทางบูรณาการความร่วมมือระหว่าง 4 หน่วยงาน โดยมุ่งส่งเสริมการพัฒนากำลังคนและทักษะแห่งอนาคต (Reskill/Upskill) ให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการของอุตสาหกรรมเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง สนับสนุนการเชื่อมโยงภาคเอกชนเข้ากับโครงการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยียุทธศาสตร์ของประเทศ เช่น เซมิคอนดักเตอร์และปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) รวมถึงการใช้เครือข่ายทางการทูตและสถานเอกอัครราชทูตไทยในการสร้างพันธมิตรทางเทคโนโลยี การจับคู่ธุรกิจ และการเชื่อมโยงผู้ประกอบการไทยเข้าสู่ห่วงโซ่อุปทานระดับโลก
สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย พร้อมเป็นกลไกประสานความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และเครือข่ายนานาชาติ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่เศรษฐกิจฐานนวัตกรรมและการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนต่อไป
On July 16, 2026, Mr. Boonhan Udomying, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and President of the Innovation Institute for Industry (INNO), represented the FTI at a ceremony to announce the intent to collaborate in advancing science diplomacy, research, and innovation, as well as in discussions with ambassadors from target countries, alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), and the Board of Investment (BOI), to promote cooperation in science, research, and innovation under the concept “Science for Diplomacy, Diplomacy for Science” at the Foreign Affairs Club, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event featured the announcement of the intent to collaborate between government and private sectors in promoting science, research, and innovation to enhance the country’s competitiveness, as well as discussions with ambassadors from target countries including Australia, Germany, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and Saudi Arabia to explore opportunities and collaborative approaches in science, research, and innovation for the future.
The meeting discussed integrating cooperation between four agencies, focusing on promoting the development of human resources and skills of the future (Reskill/Upskill) to align with the needs of the advanced technology industry, supporting the linkage of the private sector with national strategic technology development projects such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI), and utilizing diplomatic networks and Thai embassies to create technology partnerships, business matchmaking, and connecting Thai entrepreneurs to the global supply chain.
The Federation of Thai Industries is committed to being a mechanism for coordinating cooperation among government, private sector, and international networks to drive the development of Thai industry toward an innovation-based economy and sustainable growth.
