เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 10 มีนาคม 2569 ภก. นิลสุวรรณ ลีลารัศมี รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทนเข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือกับหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมในการประสานงานกับคณะกรรมการของ Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) ซึ่งจะทำหน้าที่ประเมินการเข้าเป็นสมาชิกของประเทศไทย ณ ห้องประชุม 521 อาคาร 5 สำนักงานสภาพัฒนาการเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติ
การประชุมครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อหารือและกำหนดหน่วยงานรับผิดชอบในการประสานงานกับคณะกรรมการของ OECD ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกระบวนการภาคยานุวัติของประเทศไทย โดยมีการมอบหมายหน่วยงานภาครัฐและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องให้ทำหน้าที่ดูแลและประสานงานกับคณะกรรมการ OECD ในแต่ละสาขานโยบาย เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับกระบวนการประเมินทางเทคนิค (Technical Review) ซึ่งประเทศไทยจะเข้ารับการประเมินจากคณะกรรมการ OECD จำนวน 25 คณะ
ทั้งนี้ การประเมินดังกล่าวจะพิจารณาความสอดคล้องของกฎหมาย นโยบาย และแนวปฏิบัติของประเทศไทยกับมาตรฐานและเครื่องมือทางกฎหมายของ OECD พร้อมทั้งให้ข้อเสนอแนะเพื่อสนับสนุนการปรับปรุงกฎระเบียบและกลไกกำกับดูแลของประเทศให้สอดคล้องกับแนวปฏิบัติสากล
ปัจจุบันประเทศไทยอยู่ระหว่างกระบวนการสมัครเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD โดยภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนที่เกี่ยวข้องได้ร่วมกันเตรียมความพร้อมในด้านต่าง ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนการปรับปรุงกฎระเบียบและยกระดับมาตรฐานทางเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยมีเป้าหมายในการผลักดันให้สามารถเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ได้ภายในปี 2571 ซึ่งจะเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการยกระดับมาตรฐานเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ เสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นของนักลงทุน และเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของไทยในระบบเศรษฐกิจโลก
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Dr. Phaek Nilsuwan Leelarasmee, Vice President of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented the organization at a meeting with relevant agencies to prepare for coordination with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) committee, which will evaluate Thailand's membership application at Meeting Room 521, Building 5 of the National Economic and Social Development Council.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss and determine the responsible agencies for coordinating with the OECD committee related to Thailand's accession process. Government agencies and relevant organizations were assigned to oversee and coordinate with the OECD committee in various policy areas to prepare for the technical review process, in which Thailand will be evaluated by 25 OECD committees.
Furthermore, the evaluation will consider the compliance of Thailand's laws, policies, and practices with OECD legal standards and tools, while providing recommendations to support the improvement of the country's regulations and regulatory mechanisms in accordance with international practices.
Currently, Thailand is in the process of applying for OECD membership, and relevant public and private sectors are jointly preparing in various aspects to support regulatory improvements and elevate the country's economic standards. Thailand aims to push for membership in the OECD by 2028, which will be a crucial mechanism for enhancing the country's economic standards, building investor confidence, and increasing Thailand's competitiveness in the global economic system.
