เมื่อวันที่ 30 มีนาคม 2569 นายกริช อึ้งวิฑูรสถิตย์ รองประธานสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ และประธานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมธุรกิจภูมิภาคอาเซียน สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เป็นผู้แทน ส.อ.ท. เข้าร่วมการประชุมเตรียมการเยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์อย่างเป็นทางการของนายกรัฐมนตรี ณ ห้องประชุมกรมเอเชียตะวันออก กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ
ทั้งนี้ การประชุมเตรียมการฯ ดังกล่าว มีนายพงษ์พจน์ หิรัญพฤกษ์ ผู้แทนจากสภาธุรกิจไทย-ฟิลิปปินส์ เข้าร่วมทางออนไลน์
การประชุมเตรียมการเยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเตรียมการให้นายกรัฐมนตรีเยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์อย่างเป็นทางการภายในปี 2569 โดยเบื้องต้นกระทรวงการต่างประเทศพิจารณาความเป็นไปได้ที่จะจัดการเยือนดังกล่าวในห้วงการประชุมสุดยอดอาเซียน ครั้งที่ 48
ในที่ประชุม กระทรวงการต่างประเทศได้นำเสนอภาพรวมภูมิหลังและความสำคัญของการเยือนสาธารณรัฐฟิลิปปินส์ของนายกรัฐมนตรีไทย ขณะที่ผู้แทนภาคเอกชนได้นำเสนอประสบการณ์การทำธุรกิจและการลงทุนในฟิลิปปินส์ รวมถึงประเด็นปัญหาอุปสรรคทางการค้าและการลงทุนระหว่างกัน เช่น มาตรการทางภาษีของฟิลิปปินส์ และกฎระเบียบการลงทุนในประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ โดยภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนเห็นพ้องที่จะส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับฟิลิปปินส์ ทั้งด้านความมั่นคงทางอาหารและด้านพลังงาน เป็นต้น
On March 30, 2026, Mr. Krit Ungwitthurasathit, Vice President for ASEAN and Logistics, and Chairman of the ASEAN Regional Business Promotion Committee of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), represented the FTI at a preparatory meeting for the Prime Minister's official visit to the Republic of the Philippines at the East Asia Department meeting room, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During this preparatory meeting, Mr. Pongpachon Hirunpruek, a representative from the Thai-Philippines Business Council, participated online.
The purpose of the preparatory meeting for the Prime Minister's official visit to the Republic of the Philippines is to make arrangements for the visit scheduled for 2026, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs initially considering the feasibility of organizing this visit in conjunction with the 48th ASEAN Summit.
In the meeting, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented an overview of the background and significance of the Thai Prime Minister's visit to the Republic of the Philippines, while private sector representatives shared their experiences in conducting business and investing in the Philippines, including issues and obstacles related to trade and investment between the two countries, such as taxation measures in the Philippines and investment regulations in the country. Both the government and the private sector agreed to promote cooperation with the Philippines in areas such as food security and energy, among others.
