On April 1, 2026, Mr. Kitti Sukutmantanti, Vice President of the Electrical and Electronics Industry Group at the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated as a speaker in the seminar titled “Business Game Change: Navigating U.S. Trade Measures,” organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, at the New Era Trade Entrepreneurs Development Institute.
On this occasion, Mr. Kitti delivered a presentation on the topic “U.S. Market: Opportunities for Thai Entrepreneurs,” reflecting the overview of opportunities for Thai products in the American market, which still shows high demand across many product categories, particularly in electronics and the AI supply chain, automotive and parts—especially electric vehicles (EVs), processed food and food technology, advanced materials and plastics, as well as lifestyle products that leverage the uniqueness and cultural highlights of Thailand.
Furthermore, strategic approaches were suggested for Thai entrepreneurs to enter the U.S. market, such as targeting niche markets to reduce price competition, building brands and product narratives (storytelling) to add value, and utilizing sales channels through e-commerce platforms like Amazon and TikTok Shop.
Additionally, recommendations were made for adapting the Thai industrial sector to accommodate U.S. trade measures in six critical areas: enhancing transparency in the supply chain and complying with ESG standards, developing local producers linked to the global supply chain, employing Automation and AI technologies to boost production efficiency, using nearshoring strategies to connect production with countries close to the U.S., such as Mexico, planning tariff engineering, and transitioning towards high-value product manufacturing.
This participation reflects the role of the Federation of Thai Industries in supporting Thai entrepreneurs to adapt and enhance their competitiveness in the global market, particularly in the U.S. market, amidst the challenges of continuously changing trade regulations.
