เมื่อวันที่ 8 เมษายน 2569 นายนวพงศ์ สรโชติ ประธานกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยาง และนายชวินทร์ ศรีโชติ เลขาธิการกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยาง สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) เข้าร่วมประชุมหารือกับองค์การแรงงานระหว่างประเทศ (ILO) เพื่อขับเคลื่อนแนวทางการยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมยางไทยให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากล ณ ส.อ.ท.
การประชุมครั้งนี้ กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยางได้ผลักดันประเด็นสำคัญ อาทิ การยกระดับมาตรฐานแรงงาน การเสริมสร้างความโปร่งใสในห่วงโซ่อุปทาน (Traceability) และการเตรียมความพร้อมรองรับมาตรการทางการค้าระหว่างประเทศที่มีความเข้มงวดมากขึ้น ซึ่งล้วนเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญต่อการรักษาและเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมยางไทยในตลาดโลก
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้สะท้อนถึงความท้าทายของอุตสาหกรรมในทุกระดับของห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำ กลางน้ำ ไปจนถึงปลายน้ำ ทั้งในด้านโครงสร้างการผลิต การขาดแคลนแรงงาน และต้นทุนที่เพิ่มสูงขึ้น โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมอย่างเป็นระบบในภาพรวม
ทั้งนี้ กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมยาง ส.อ.ท. พร้อมเดินหน้าความร่วมมือกับ ILO และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อสนับสนุนผู้ประกอบการในทุกระดับของห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ผ่านการพัฒนาองค์ความรู้ เครื่องมือ และแนวปฏิบัติที่จำเป็น โดย ILO ได้เสนอแนวทางสนับสนุนด้านการพัฒนาศักยภาพและเครื่องมือด้านมาตรฐานแรงงาน เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและผลักดันอุตสาหกรรมยางไทยสู่ความยั่งยืนในระดับสากล โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายจะร่วมกันขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป
On April 8, 2026, Mr. Nawapong Sarochoti, Chairman of the Rubber Industry Group, and Mr. Chawin Srichoti, Secretary of the Rubber Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in a meeting with the International Labour Organization (ILO) to drive forward the enhancement of the Thai rubber industry in line with international standards at FTI.
In this meeting, the Rubber Industry Group pushed important issues such as the elevation of labor standards, the enhancement of transparency in the supply chain (Traceability), and preparedness to comply with increasingly stringent international trade measures, all of which are essential factors in maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of the Thai rubber industry in the global market.
Furthermore, challenges faced by the industry at all levels of the supply chain were highlighted, from upstream, midstream to downstream, including production structure, labor shortages, and rising costs, with a focus on systematic industry development overall.
Thus, the Rubber Industry Group of FTI is ready to move forward with collaboration with ILO and related agencies to support entrepreneurs at all levels of the supply chain through the development of knowledge, tools, and necessary practices. ILO has proposed support approaches related to capacity building and labor standards tools to enhance confidence and push the Thai rubber industry towards sustainability at the international level, as both parties will continuously drive their cooperation forward.
