เมื่อวันที่ 20 เมษายน 2569 นายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ รองประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) และประธานสายงานการค้าและการลงทุน พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม อุตสาหกรรมพลาสติก และอุตสาหกรรมปิโตรเคมี ร่วมให้การต้อนรับและหารือกับนายอดัม คอยน์ (Adam Coin) อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาด้านเศรษฐกิจ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตออสเตรเลียประจำประเทศไทย เพื่อหารือและติดตามสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลางที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อภาคการผลิตและการส่งออกของไทย ณ ห้องประชุม 1010 ชั้น 10 ส.อ.ท.
ในการหารือครั้งนี้ ผู้แทนจากสถานทูตทั้งสองประเทศได้รับฟังข้อเสนอแนะและปัญหาที่ภาคอุตสาหกรรมไทยกำลังเผชิญ โดยเฉพาะประเด็น Supply Shock ที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ต้นทุนการผลิต และความสามารถในการแข่งขันของผู้ประกอบการไทย
ทั้งนี้ ไทยถือเป็นคู่ค้าสำคัญของทั้งสองประเทศ โดยเป็นคู่ค้ารายใหญ่อันดับ 5 ของออสเตรเลีย และอันดับ 8 ของนิวซีแลนด์ สะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์ทางเศรษฐกิจที่ใกล้ชิด และศักยภาพในการขยายความร่วมมือด้านการค้าและการลงทุนในอนาคต
การหารือครั้งนี้นับเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์เศรษฐกิจโลก พร้อมร่วมกันหาแนวทางรับมือผลกระทบที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
On April 20, 2026, Mr. Chatchai Panichcheewa, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and Chairman of the Trade and Investment Committee, along with representatives from the food and beverage, plastics, and petrochemical industries, welcomed and discussed with Mr. Adam Coin, Economic Minister-Counselor of the Australian Embassy in Thailand, to discuss and monitor the situation in the Middle East that impacts Thailand's manufacturing and export sectors at Meeting Room 1010, 10th Floor, FTI.
During this discussion, representatives from both embassies listened to suggestions and problems that the Thai industrial sector is currently facing, particularly the issue of Supply Shock that affects the supply chain, production costs, and the competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs.
Thailand serves as an important trading partner for both countries, ranking as the 5th largest trading partner of Australia and the 8th largest partner of New Zealand, reflecting close economic relations and the potential for expanding trade and investment cooperation in the future.
This discussion marks an important opportunity to exchange information regarding the global economic situation and collaboratively seek concrete measures to address the impacts that have arisen.
