การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศกำลังขยับจากเรื่องสิ่งแวดล้อมไปสู่โจทย์สำคัญด้านต้นทุน การค้า และความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคอุตสาหกรรม เมื่อกติกาการค้าและห่วงโซ่อุปทานโลกให้ความสำคัญกับการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกมากขึ้น ผู้ประกอบการไทยจึงต้องเร่งปรับตัวและยกระดับการดำเนินธุรกิจให้สอดรับกับเศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำ
สภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) โดยสถาบันน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และ Climate Change จึงเดินหน้าสานต่อความร่วมมือกับกรมการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อเชื่อมโยงนโยบายภาครัฐกับการปรับตัวของภาคอุตสาหกรรม และผลักดันการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกให้เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
เมื่อวันที่ 18 สิงหาคม 2569 นายปรีดา วัชรเธียรสกุล รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานสถาบันน้ำ สิ่งแวดล้อม และ Climate Change พร้อมด้วยนายธนาธร ตรงสิทธิวิทู กรรมการและเลขานุการสถาบันฯ และนางสาวรภัสษร ฮุนพงษ์สิมานนท์ กรรมการและผู้ช่วยเลขานุการสถาบันฯ ร่วมแสดงความยินดีเนื่องในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันสถาปนากรมการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อม ครบรอบ 3 ปี ภายใต้แนวคิด “3 ปี กรมลดโลกร้อน พลิกวิกฤตภูมิอากาศ สร้างโอกาสสู่ Net Zero 2050” ณ อาคารกรมการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและสิ่งแวดล้อม
จากภาระการปรับตัว สู่โอกาสของอุตสาหกรรม
สำหรับภาคอุตสาหกรรมการเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่เศรษฐกิจคาร์บอนต่ำไม่ควรมองเพียงเป็นต้นทุนหรือภาระในการปรับตัว แต่เป็นโอกาสในการนำเทคโนโลยี นวัตกรรม และหลัก ESG มาเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการผลิต ลดต้นทุนระยะยาว และสร้างความได้เปรียบในการแข่งขัน โดยเฉพาะในตลาดที่ให้ความสำคัญกับสินค้าที่มีการจัดการด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและคาร์บอนมากขึ้น
ส.อ.ท. พร้อมทำงานร่วมกับกรมฯ และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง เพื่อช่วยยกระดับขีดความสามารถของผู้ประกอบการไทย ตั้งแต่การสร้างความรู้และความเข้าใจ การเตรียมความพร้อมด้านการจัดการก๊าซเรือนกระจก ไปจนถึงการส่งเสริมการปรับตัวสู่ Low Carbon Industry
แนวทางดังกล่าวสอดคล้องกับวิสัยทัศน์ “The New Chapter of Thai Industry: Empowering Growth with 5I” ภายใต้วาระการบริหารงาน ส.อ.ท. ปี 2569–2571 โดยเฉพาะยุทธศาสตร์ I5 – Inclusive Sustainability ที่มุ่งสร้างการเติบโตอย่างทั่วถึงและยั่งยืน พร้อมสนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนผ่านของภาคอุตสาหกรรมให้สามารถแข่งขันได้ ภายใต้บริบทเศรษฐกิจโลกที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลง
ความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคอุตสาหกรรมจึงเป็นกลไกสำคัญในการเปลี่ยนโจทย์ Climate Change จากความท้าทายให้กลายเป็นโอกาส ทั้งในการยกระดับประสิทธิภาพธุรกิจ สร้างตลาดใหม่ และเสริมความสามารถในการแข่งขันของอุตสาหกรรมไทย ควบคู่กับการสนับสนุนเป้าหมาย Net Zero ของประเทศอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
Climate change is shifting from being an environmental issue to a significant challenge regarding costs, trade, and the competitiveness of the industrial sector. As global trade rules and supply chains increasingly emphasize the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, Thai entrepreneurs must accelerate their adaptation and elevate their business operations to align with a low carbon economy.
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), through the Institute of Water, Environment, and Climate Change, is continuing its collaboration with the Department of Climate Change and Environmental Management to connect government policies with industrial adaptation and drive tangible reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
On August 18, 2026, Mr. Prida Watcharathiengsakul, Vice President of FTI and Chairman of the Institute of Water, Environment, and Climate Change, along with Mr. Thanathorn Trongsittiwit, a committee member and secretary of the Institute, and Ms. Rapatsorn Hunphongsiman, committee member and assistant secretary of the Institute, attended the celebration on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Climate Change and Environmental Management under the theme “3 Years of the Department of Climate Change: Turning Climate Crisis into Opportunities Towards Net Zero 2050” at the Department's building.
From adjustment burdens to opportunities for industry
For the industrial sector, transitioning to a low carbon economy should not be viewed merely as a cost or adjustment burden but rather as an opportunity to leverage technology, innovation, and ESG principles to enhance production efficiency, reduce long-term costs, and create competitive advantages, especially in markets increasingly focused on environmentally managed and carbon-conscious products.
FTI is ready to collaborate with the Department and related agencies to enhance the capacity of Thai entrepreneurs, from building knowledge and understanding, preparing for greenhouse gas management, to promoting adaptation towards a Low Carbon Industry.
This approach aligns with the vision “The New Chapter of Thai Industry: Empowering Growth with 5I” under the FTI's management agenda for 2026–2028, particularly the I5 – Inclusive Sustainability strategy that aims to foster inclusive and sustainable growth while supporting the industrial sector’s transition to remain competitive in the shifting global economic context.
Collaboration between the public and industrial sectors is thus a crucial mechanism in transforming the challenges of Climate Change into opportunities, both in enhancing business efficiency, creating new markets, and strengthening the competitiveness of Thai industries while concretely supporting the country's Net Zero goals.
