On 14 September 2024 the Economic Journalists Association collaborated with the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI.) organized a Thai boxing training event By Yod Muay Thai Gym Bangna with Apipob Phungchanchaikul Deputy Secretary-General of FTI and Managing Director of Aphaek Company Limited, the developer of the community mall project "For You Park", welcomed Nava Chantanusurakorn Vice President of FTI and Chairperson of the Corporate Communication Teamof FTI to officially open the event and thanked Ms. DuangpornUdomthip, President of the Economic Journalists Association, for her gratitudeat the Yod Muay Thai Gym at the For You Park branch, Bangna, Bangkok.

Apipob said that practicing Thai boxing is a good form of exercise and serves as a means of self-defense. Thai boxing is recognized as a soft power due to it being the only sport in the world that carries the name of Thailand. It possesses a unique identity and is widely recognized globally. Thus, Thai boxing is among the top 11 soft power industries, similar to fashion, literature, food, tourism, music, gaming, sports, design, and film. FTI is concurrently promoting this as well.

Nava said that today's activities serve to strengthen the relationship between the media and the Federation of Thai Industries, which not only involves collaboration in academic support but we are also prepared to collaborate in sports as well.

Ms. Duangporn expressed her gratitude to FTI for facilitating this beneficial activity for the media and hopes for continued cooperation in organizing such events in the future.
