เมื่อวันจันทร์ที่ 16 กันยายน 2567 นายเกรียงไกร เธียรนุกุล ประธานสภาอุตสาหกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย (ส.อ.ท.) พร้อมด้วยนายชาติชาย พานิชชีวะ รองประธาน ส.อ.ท. และประธานสายงานการค้าและการลงทุน นายกริช อึ้งวิฑูรสถิตย์ รองประธานสายงานอาเซียนและโลจิสติกส์ และนายกิตติภัต สุทธิสัมพัทน์ กรรมการบริหาร ส.อ.ท. ให้การต้อนรับนายฟัม เวียต ฮุง (H.E Mr. Phum Viet Hung) เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐสังคมนิยมเวียดนามประจำประเทศไทย และนายเล ฮู ฟุก (Mr. Le Huu Phuc) อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษาด้านพาณิชย์ ณ ห้องมงคลสุธี ส.อ.ท.
การหารือ เน้นการแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นระหว่างกันเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือด้านการค้า การลงทุน นโยบายการดึงดูดนักลงทุน โดย ส.อ.ท. ให้ความเห็นเกี่ยวกับศักยภาพในการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจของเวียดนามว่า มีศักยภาพด้านการผลิตมากกว่าไทย โดยมีต้นทุนราคาค่าไฟฟ้าและราคาค่าน้ำมันถูกกว่าประเทศไทย
ทางด้านเวียดนามได้ให้ข้อมูลปัญหาอุปสรรคต่างๆ ในการประกอบธุรกิจในเวียดนาม เช่น ปัญหาด้านการขอใบอนุญาตจัดตั้งโรงงาน ระบบการป้องกันอัคคีภัยในโรงงาน เป็นต้น
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่าย ยังมีการหารือเกี่ยวกับการจัดกิจกรรม เพื่อสนับสนุนให้เกิดความร่วมมือทางการค้า การลงทุนมากขึ้น เช่น กิจกรรมจับคู่เจรจาธุรกิจ การจัดสัมมนาให้แก่นักธุรกิจของทั้งสองประเทศ เพื่อสร้างความสัมพันธ์และนำไปสู่การลงทุนในอนาคต
On Monday, September 16, 2024, Mr. Kriangkrai Theeranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with Mr. Chatchai Panitcheewan, Vice Chairman of FTI and Head of the Trade and Investment Division, Mr. Krit Uengvitthasathit, Vice Chairman of the ASEAN and Logistics Division, and Mr. Kittiphat Sutthiphan, Executive Board Member of FTI, welcomed H.E. Mr. Phum Viet Hung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Thailand, and Mr. Le Huu Phuc, Commercial Counselor, at the Mongkol Suthi Room, FTI.
The discussion focused on exchanging views on cooperation in trade and investment, as well as policies for attracting investors. FTI provided insights regarding Vietnam's economic growth potential, highlighting its manufacturing capabilities exceeding those of Thailand, primarily due to lower electricity and fuel costs.
Vietnam also shared information regarding various challenges in conducting business there, such as issues related to obtaining factory establishment licenses and fire safety regulations within factories.
Additionally, both parties discussed organizing activities to promote increased trade and investment collaboration, such as business matching events and seminars for businesspeople from both countries to foster relationships and lead to future investments.
