ส.อ.ท. ร่วมเสวนาการขับเคลื่อนธุรกิจฐานนวัตกรรม (IDEs) ด้วยการระดมทุนจากภาคเอกชนFTI Participates in Forum on Driving Innovation-Driven Enterprises (IDEs) Through Private Sector Funding

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024, Dr. Wiboon Raksasarncharoen, Executive Committee Member of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), participated in the discussion on cultivating IDEs into Unicorns titled "Driving Innovation-Driven Enterprises (Innovation Driven Enterprise: IDEs) Through Private Sector Funding" at the Research and Innovation Utilization Promotion Fair 2024 (TRIUP FAIR 2024). The discussion featured participants including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Suwansitchai, Director of the Competitiveness Enhancement Fund Management Unit (CEP), Dr. Surarat Supachaturat, Deputy Director of the Economic and Social Division, National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Juthamas Rattanavong, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Engine Life Co., Ltd., and Asst. Prof. Dr. Suvalak Asavasanti, Head of the Strategic Integration Unit for Developing Future Food Science, Research and Innovation (Wora) at the Office of the National Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NSTDA) at Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, Siam Paragon Shopping Center.

In this discussion, Dr. Wiboon addressed the promotion and support for start-up and SME entrepreneurs regarding funding from the "Innovation Day Fund" project, which operates as an Impact Venture Capital initiative, investing with financial, social, and environmental returns in mind. Entrepreneurs applying for funding must demonstrate readiness to elevate and grow rapidly in the future.

Additionally, Dr. Wiboon provided guidance to entrepreneurs on establishing a foundation and business readiness when applying for funding, particularly for start-ups, which represent a group of entrepreneurs with high growth potential today, serving as a pathway for future funding applications.

Furthermore, the "Innovation Day Fund" project and FTI agencies set up a booth at the TRIUP FAIR 2024, held from September 24-26, 2024, under the theme “Impact Journey to Ignite Thailand: The Pathway to Drive Research and Innovation for Economic and Social Enhancement of the Country,” focusing on responding to key government policies, including:
(1) Health economy and medical service development policy
(2) Modernizing traditional agriculture
(3) Carbon neutrality policy
(4) Promoting a green economy and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources and the environment
(5) Advancing digital economy development
